My eyes locked to the screen. We couldn't see the score throughout the game, so no one had any idea where the teams stood.

Cal was on the other side of the room. He glanced over a few times while we waited for the results to be announced.

The TV began to change, a little animation showing each players individual scores before the average was revealed.

"Bree how did you get in the negatives?!" Kilorn laughed.

"You're the one who's talking?" Bree snorted,"Even Tramy got a higher score than you!"

"Hey- what's that supposed to mean?!"Tramy yelled.

"All of you shut up- I scored higher than any of you" I sighed.

"Well of course you did Mare- you're so short they probably didn't realize you were there" Kilorn said, sticking out his tongue.

My brothers erupted in laughter, but a certain laugh from the other side of the room stuck out. I turned to see who it was, and low and behold, it was the idiot from the game.

Cal made eye contact with me, not even attempting to hide his amusement at Kilorn's joke. His eyes flitted back to the screen, staring in shock as the final scores were released.

My team burst into cheers, causing chaos as Cal's team sighed. We didn't win by much, maybe five to ten hits.

But even though he lost, Cal looked.. very happy. How annoying.

Everyone was starting to grab their things. Was Cal going to try and talk to me again? Should I hurry out? No- I wanted to talk to him.. kinda.

'Shit- he's coming over.. too late to bolt now..'

I tried to look calm, but every nerve was screaming inside me.

"Looks like you managed to beat us" he grinned.

All my nervousness was replaced with pure annoyance. Why is he so happy? He just lost a game, and is being glared at by all of brothers and Kilorn, yet he still looks as if you'd given him a puppy and a hug.

"Surprised?" I asked.

"Not at all" he chuckled, reaching into his pocket." But,, that does mean I don't get your number"

My cheeks flushed red. "Well- I mean, I guess not.. but it was really just-"

His laugh cut me off, which was irritating, but I couldn't be mad, his laugh was very endearing.

"How about instead, I can take you somewhere to celebrate your victory?" he smirked.

At this point both of our groups where trying to listen in discreetly, and both were failing at the latter. My side of the room wasn't too happy upon hearing Cal's suggestion, both Shade and Kilorn moving behind me.

"Mare- wanna head out?" they asked, a hand wrapping around my wrist.

I ignored them, looking Cal up and down before sighing.

"Can I pick where we go?" I asked

"Of course, wherever you want to go, whatever you want to do."

I grinned, tugging my hand out of my brother's.

"Lead the way" I laugh, holding my hand out to him.

He slipped his hand into mind, the both of us running out before anyone could question it. My brothers called after me, but I could barely hear them over Cal's laugh.

He led me to his motorcycle, handing me his helmet and climbing onto the back, looking over at me with a huge grin on his face.

"So, where too first?"
