Henry's POV:

Charles, Ellie, and I had just returned from a mission, all of us smiling and joking around with each other. As we walked back to the main area, I found myself eyeing Charles. He always looked so attractive, especially when he had his flight suit on.

Ellie noticed who I was staring at and elbowed me in the ribs, laughing when I flinched and frowned at her. Soon, we arrived at the Generals location, Charles happily informing him that the mission was a success.

Galeforce smiled and nodded at the man, speaking directly to him, though Ellie and I could still hear.

"Good work! You're just in time too. We just got a new fighter jet, never been flown before and I wanted you to be the first to test it out. You'll give us feedback on if anything needs improvement."

Charles excitedly accepted, running to get  the things he'd need for a jet flight. As Ellie and I watched him run off, our jaws dropped. The woman beside me looked back to Galeforce, surprise written all over her face.

"He can fly fighter jets?! I thought he could only fly helicopters!"

It was Galeforce's turn to be surprised, seeing that both of us were shocked. With a chuckle, he crossed his arms, explaining to us.

"Charlie can fly absolutely anything, he's one of our most skilled pilots if not the most skilled. Fighter jets are actually his favorite thing to fly, helicopters being his second favorite. He told me one time that he always loves breaking the sound barrier."

Charles then returned with everything he needed, giving the General a thumbs up. He led all of us to the jet, grabbing three pairs of headphones.

While walking, the brunette was so excited he was practically skipping, talking to the General about things I didn't quite understand. Things like "Mach 4.2" and other things that just didn't make full sense.

As we approached the aircraft, Charles sprinted towards it, giggling as he looked the outside over. I felt my heart flutter at how cute he was being, standing back since I knew that Ellie and I probably weren't even allowed within ten feet of the jet.

After gushing over the outside, he got his oxygen mask on, looking like a complete badass with it. If it was physically possible, I would've turned to goo in that moment. He was just...so...hot.

Once Charles was inside the aircraft, Galeforce took us to a safe place to watch, putting on sound muffling headphones before instructing us to do the same. A small group of soldiers also gathered to watch, curious about this new fighter jet.

Let's see what he can do.

Third Person POV:

It didn't take long for Charles to be up in the air, just getting a feel for the aircraft. But, before too long, he was doing simple loops, and a couple barrel rolls. Though it was basic, Henry and Ellie were still amazed just by that.

The second the pilot got fully comfortable, he went fully for it, getting into more complicated stunts such as a double hammerhead, followed by a lomcovak.

Charles was having the absolute time of his life up there, deciding to do a free fall maneuver, always loving the feeling of dropping. Of course, everyone besides Galeforce almost had an anxiety attack watching that one, the group breathing a collective sigh of relief when he came back up.

Yet, no matter how much the pilot was enjoying the stunts, there was one thing he knew he needed to test, and was waiting to do it last since it's what he was most excited about, breaking the sound barrier.

The brunette got far enough away to build it up, giving the jet everything it had. Right as he passed over the group, Henry and Ellie realized why General had given them the headphones.

Even with them on, the noise was incredible, sounding like the loudest crack of thunder ever. Everyone nearby felt it vibrate throughout their body. Henry felt like he was going to absolutely melt, seeing Charles do these things made him realize how pathetically in love he was with the pilot.

After a while, Charles landed the jet, just sitting in it after he came to a full stop. The pilot was just staying in it smiling, not wanting to even leave the aircraft.

Henry and Ellie practically sprinted to their best friend, not caring about any rules as they got up to where Charles was, opening the top so that they could talk to him. Before Henry could get a single word in, Ellie was screaming,

"That was kick ass! Holy shit that was amazing!"

The brunette laughed at her excitement, removing the oxygen mask before thanking the red head. Ellie slowly slid down the side of the jet, landing on her feet. Meanwhile, Henry stayed perched on the side, a little more calm than Ellie.

"That truly was amazing, Charles. I didn't even know you could do that! But, though this jet is incredibly impressive, you're even more impressive and incredible than it."

With that, Henry joined Ellie on the ground, leaving Charles a blushing mess in the cockpit. Once he felt his face wasn't burning red anymore, the pilot exited the aircraft, approaching the General to give his feedback.

"Handles great, built up speed wonderfully, landed and took off beautifully, but the steering is a little stiff, they may want to fix that."

While Charles gave his report to Galeforce, Henry and Ellie stood a few feet away talking, both of them having their arms crossed.

E: "You need to tell him how you feel, Henry. Especially after today, I can just see how obsessed you are with him."

H: "I just don't know. What if he doesn't feel the same way about me? I don't want my feelings to ruin mine and his friendship."

E: "Dude, did you see how hard he was blushing after you complimented him a few minutes ago? Or are you blind? Hell, I'm starting to really think you're legally blind or something. Cause he's always checking you out, and you're always checking him out. You're both just too dumb to notice."

With a sigh, Henry agreed with her, knowing he couldn't hold it in for much longer without exploding. Ellie went ahead and wondered off, Charles and Galeforce about to as well before the ex-convict spoke.

"Hey, Charles? Can I talk to you for a second?"

The pilot nodded and walked over to Henry, looking up at him with a curious expression. Galeforce continued on his way, leaving the two men by themselves.

"You did really good today, some of those stunts were so great I felt like I was going to melt. Oh what am I saying, it's YOU that makes me feel like I'm gonna melt into a puddle. You're just so cheerful, kind, badass, hot as hell, and irresistible. I'm sorry that I just couldn't hold it in any longer. I really love you, Charles."

After a moment of processing, though Charles was shorter than Henry, the pilot pinned the man against the side of the jet, locking their lips together passionately.

The taller man immediately accepted the kiss, pulling back after a moment to hug the brunette tightly, digging his face into his hair as he breathed in the scent of jet fuel and machinery.

"I love you too, Henry. And you're quite the badass yourself Mr.Ex-criminal."

Charles said with a smirk and a wink, Henry rolling his eyes playfully at the pilot. Grabbing each other's hands, they began the walk back to the brunettes house, laughing and complimenting each other the whole way back.

Looks like Charles made a maneuver straight into Henry's heart.
