(This idea is from the lovely @Gracie821024. Henry and Charles are already dating during this.)

Charles POV:

Trying to fly in a thunderstorm wasn't easy. It wasn't entirely impossible, but just difficult. Just as I was beginning to stabilize the aircraft, a bright bolt of lightning struck the tail rotor.

Over the microphones, I could hear Ellie scream and Henry yelp from the passenger area. As calmly as I could, I spoke to them, trying my best to keep us in the air.

"Alright, Henry, Ellie, both of you grab a parachute and prepare to jump. The tail rotor has been struck, but everything will be okay, alright?"

I opened up the door to allow them to jump, the helicopter getting jerked to the side suddenly by wind. Alarms were sounding all throughout the aircraft.

At this point, there was no way I could continue to fly, briefly connecting with the government base as the helicopter headed towards the ground.

"Triple Threat is making a crash landing, coordinates are-"

Before I could finish, I made contact with the jungle floor, everything going black. All I could think as I lost consciousness was,

"I hope they weren't still in the back."
"Where are Henry and Ellie?"
"Oh god...Henry please be okay.."

                                            - - -
My eyes slowly opened to a thin stream of sunlight beaming onto my face. I groaned as I looked around, finding myself still buckled into my seat, the windshield shattered, nothing working, my headphones broken, and blood all over my body.

Then, I remembered what happened, the crash. Wait, where's Henry?! I quickly thought, the thought itself causing me to rip off my harness, sprinting to the destroyed passenger area.

No sign of Henry OR Ellie.

They must've jumped before the crash. But if that's the case, how far away could they be? And in what direction? Wanting to get a grip on my surroundings, I stepped out of the aircraft, looking up at the trees all around me.

Remembering exactly how I landed helped me figure out where I came from, using the compass that luckily survived. I needed to head south to possibly find my boyfriend and best friend. So, I grabbed any supplies I could think of out of the helicopter.

I was able to find two bottles of water, a few granola bars I had forgotten about, a flashlight, a knife, a gun, some rope, a blanket, a small tarp, and a med kit. Before heading out on my new mission, I reached around my neck, sighing in relief when I still felt the locket there.

For mine and Henry's three year anniversary he had gotten me a gold locket with our picture on the inside, I never took it off. So, I was extremely relieved to find that it survived the accident without any damage.

Now, just to find Henry and Ellie.

Ellie's POV:

I woke up dangling in a tree by my parachute. My clothes and hair were still a tiny bit wet from the rain. Struggling, I attempted to free myself, ripping the parachute to shreds in the process. Once I was freed, I plummeted about ten feet to the ground, landing flat on my back.
