After a long moment Professor Dumbledore stood up and told Mcgonagall to leave. I wasn't sure why because the look in her face already told me she knew exactly what was going on.

He sat down again and started "Jade, you probably heard what the sorting hat said. You're a very special girl you know?"

Of course I heard it, "What does it mean, professor?"

"Listen. Once there will be a girl that is too difficult for this old hat. A girl that is everything and nothing. The same amount of every house, and we believe that girl is you."

"But, professor I don't understand? Why didn't you want them to know and, why did professor Mcgonagall look so scared?"

"We'll come to that another day, this is enough for now. You still need to do one thing. You need to choose your house."

After that I stared at Dumbledore for quite a bit. Choose my own house? Has he gone mad? That's not how it works. I know I was quite happy with Gryffindor but what if I don't belong there? I realised I had to choose and my choice was to not be lonely.

"Gryffindor"

"Alright Gryffindor it is. Oh, and one more thing; you must not tell anyone about it, only your best friends. The people you trust." He walked with me to the door and let me out.

I walked to the Gryffindor common room. Half-way there I realised that I didn't know the password. Luckily Hermione was there, happy to see me. As we walked in she asked me all about this morning.

"Where have you been? Have you been sorted yet? Please say you're in Gryffindor as well."

I smiled. "Yep, Gryffindor, but I haven't quite been sorted." When I saw her questioning face, I walked us to the dorms. "Dumbledore said to not tell anyone except you."

"Well what is it?"

I told her what happened and when I was finished she looked just as scared as professor Mcgonagall.

"Jade, you can't be here. They'll kill you or worse, expel you! Don't you know the prophecy?"

"No, what are you talking about? Why would I get killed?" I wanted to stand up but remained seated.

"Okay well, there is this prophecy about a girl that can't be sorted alright, and that's you! The prophecy says that the girl that couldn't be sorted is dangerous and will destroy the world. Only one person actually heard it, before it was put in the Ministry. The Ministry always said they're gonna kill or lock up the girl to prevent bad things."

"But Hermione I can keep it a secret. Nobody will know, I promise and do you seriously believe that I'm dangerous?"

"No, but you needed to know the truth." She stood up and walked to the door of the dormitory. "I'm going to the Great Hall for breakfast, are you coming?"

I stood up and followed her, shocked. I would never destroy the world... Right?
