I still love that boy

I'm so sorry

I woke up to a machine beeping. I tried to look around but I couldn't seem to see anything. My vision was still really blurry. I tried to talk but I still couldn't. My vision came back slowly but I saw everyone talking in a circle away from me. I couldnt hear what they were saying, but it seemed like they were scared. My hearing came back and I heard Sam was on the phone and everyone was listing. I looked over and I was Tara hugging Jake while Jake was crying. I started to panic. Was I dead? My heart rate started to get really high and the beeping seemed to get faster. Everyone looked at me and there eyes popped. Sam came running over and Handed Corey his phone. 

"Shhh Lily calm down your okay," Sam said grabbing my hand holding it and rubbing my arm. 

I tried to talk but it only came out as a whisper, "Where?" That was all I was able to get out. 

"Your at the hospital." Sam whispered. I made a face for him to keep going, "Jake was pulling a prank  on Kat and Tara and you ran down and slipped on water and glass from Tara dropping her cup. You had to have emergency surgery on your spine and your arm. Thats why its hard for you to talk because your spine is healing and your vocal cords had to be worked on. Your arm is in a full cast because you hit your arm on the railing for the stairs when you fell and you broke your whole arm because of it."  Sam finished still holding my hand. By this time Kat  was standing on my other side where i broke my arm.

My hearing was completely back and so was my vision. I looked down and i was my right arm was wrapped in a Hot pink cast going from my finger tips to the top of my shoulder. I had this black thing around my stomach and chest going to my back and it went up to my neck. I had a neck brace on that it was attached to. I looked down at my legs and my knee on the right side of my body was a brace on it. 

I looked up at Sam and I could talk now but only a whisper would come out. "Colby?" I whispered.

Sam sighed, "He's on the phone with Corey. He's about to get onto a Plane then he will be here. 

I smiled and looked at Jake. Sam got the Hint and went over to talk to him. Everyone else left the room to tell the doctors I was awake and Jake came over to me because he stayed. 

"I'm so sorry Lily. I love you so much and never meant for this to happen. I'm so sorry" Jake got out threw his crying. 

"Stop crying you big baby," I whispered. He laughed and stopped whipping his tears. "Im not mad at you. Its my fault. Don't worry, I am okay I promise." He smiled. 

"Okay im till sorry." When he finished the doctors walked in and so did everyone else. They all went and sat on the couch in the room and the chairs. Jake went over with Tara while Sam came over next to me. 

"Hi Lily. Im Doctor Ross. You can call me Ross though. So we had to do surgery on your back and your arm. Your gonna be wearing the back brace for a while along with the arm cast. Your gonna have to come back here in 3 weeks to get another cast for your arm. And come every 2 weeks for check ups. Were gonna keep you here for a while and you can only have one person stay with you. So pick one person out of your large group of loved ones to stay with you because visiting hours are about to be over." He stopped talking so I could pick. 

"Can I have two? Only for a few hours?"  I whispered. He nodded yes and smiled. "Sam and Kat please." 

"Alright well ill let you say your good byes and ill be back in 5 to do your checkup. "The doctors said walking out. 

Jake came over and fist bumped me. "Love you sis," I smiled 

"I hope you feel better," and "See you tomorrows" Flooded the room as everyone left. Kat was sitting on a chair next to the bed and Sam and sitting in a chair next to that one holding my hand. 

The doctor came back in with a nurse. "So were gonna do some check ups and see how you are. Would you to please take a step back for a moment?" The doctor asked. Sam nodded and let go of my hand. They went and sat on the couch pushing the chairs back. 

Ross came up and took the glasses off of my face, everything got 50 times brighter and I groaned at the light and shut my head. Now realizing my aching head. "You have a concussion Lily so we had sunglasses on you. I need you to open your eyes please just for a minute so I can look at your eyes. Then the glasses will go right back on." He asked. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. I had pain in my eyes from the light but I just let him do his thing, "You can close them now," I sighed and closed them as he put the glasses back on my face. I opened my eyes still slightly squinting. 

He moved the blanket off of me and I looked down and saw my right leg had bruises up and down the whole thing. He took the knee brace off and i had a slight stinging from it. "So your knee cap moved and we had to move it back. Your gonna need to use this for a while and your gonna need to be in a wheel chair till your leg is healed." He put the brace back on then put the blankets back over me. "I need to check your incisions on your back which means I need someone to hold you up while I check." He looked at Sam. 

Sam stood up and walked over. "Is she standing up?" he asked. 

Ross shook his head, " No no. Its gonna be a while till she can stand. She's just gonna be slightly sitting up." Sam nodded and Ross explained how he was going to need to look and for Sam to hold me up. "Are you ready?" I got asked. I nodded. "on 3? 1, 2, 3" I tried to help but I was no use. I was like a noddle. Sam held me up and Ross looked at my back. Then I got laid back down. 

"Thank you," Ross said to Sam. Sam went and sat back down. "So your incision is looking good. Your not gonna be able to stand for a while. And your gonna going to have a physical therapist coming daily to help you starting tomorrow. Right now i want you to get some rest, Try talking to your friends and watching Tv. You can eat food but they have to be like smoothies. We have a smoothie king on the 4th floor," He partly said to Sam and Kat. They nodded. "Well get some rest." Ross smiled and left. 

I gave a stiff smile, "Im so sorry," I said to Sam and Kat. 

They both got up and were at my sides in a flash, "No. You do not have to be sorry. I promise," Kat smiled kissing my cheek. 

"Colby will be here in 7 hours," Sam smiled. I nodded and they went to sit back down. Kat sat in a chair next to me holding my hand. Sam sat next to her. I ended up falling asleep while they were talking.
