"Dying? Surely you jest (y/n), I've only just gotten you, I can't let you go just yet." Legolas said seriously, though it was clear in his tone just how worried he actually was about the matter at hand, "Day by day, I fear as though something grim is approaching and there is no stopping it." She replied somberly, she sat him down at the table and sat down across from him, she set a steaming mug of tea in front of him, although he payed it no mind as he was focused on her.

Legolas ran a hand through his locks and sighed in frustration making (y/n) look away in shame and sadness, Legolas having noticed this, gingerly placed a hand under her chin and turned her to face him, wiping the small bit of blood from her lips with his thumb, "I will not let us be shaken by this, you are soon to be my wife, I won't let you wait anymore, nor am I going to wait for you. What ever happens, I will be by your side this time."

Tears pricked the corner of her eyes feeling a sudden warmth engulf her very being, "And I to you, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if you hadn't found me sooner, I—" "Let's go to the palace healers." Legolas cut her off, determination set on his face as he looked into her eyes. He held her hands gently, as if she would break under his touch like a delicate glass, she was trembling slightly as she nodded, she knew there was no point in trying to change his mind, he still had that stubborn demeanor from when they were younger.

She quickly covered her lips as she felt a cough coming and turned away from him as she did so, feeling a headache already forming, "Melleth nín.." Legolas whispered, feeling his chest get tighter at the sight of her suffering, "Would you like to rest first before we leave?" "No, it would be better if we leave now, I'll just have to pack." She said standing up, he caught her wrist and she turned to look at him questionably, "Only pack the important things and worry not about clothing and anything else, alright?" She nodded at this and he placed a kiss on her hand, "Take your time, let me let me know when you're ready."

Quickly gathering her stuff and putting them in a bag, (y/n) had a mixture of emotions, feeling like she was in a daze she stared blankly at her hands before pinching herself and realizing she was infact still sane, and that he was there sipping tea at her table, he was real. Her face flushed at the thought and tears pricked at her eyes as she sniffled, making sure Legolas didn't hear as she didn't want him to worry about her more than he already did.

Wiping away her tears she finished packing up and went out of her bedroom with her bag in hand, "Legolas?" She called out, not seeing him at the kitchen table, she walked over to the living room where she found him looking through letters and portraits from when they were younger, "Oh I apologize (y/n) I didn't mean to snoop around." She shook her head at this and approached slowly, placing her bag down on the center table and picking up a picture of them posing elegantly for their first portrait together.

"You really haven't changed a bit.. You're still as handsome and stubborn as ever.." She said fondly, he took the picture from her and laughed, "And you're still as beautiful as the day you crashed into my life.. quite literally if I do say so, I still wonder how you got up that tower." He tucked a strand of hair behind her ears and gingerly placed his palm on her cheek, their eyes met and he couldn't help but gaze at her with affection, "Orthach 'uren ir tirach enni*.." He mumbled, leaning in before pulling back quickly making (y/n) flustered, what was she expecting from someone as cheeky as him?

She pursed her lips and picked up the portraits, placing them in her bag as well, "I see your cheekiness still remains intact, I'll get you one of these days, muin nin*" He took her bag and swung it over his shoulder with care, "I'm sure you will mell nin, now, are you ready?" Taking a deep breath, she took his hands in hers with a nod, mentally saying goodbye to what once was her home as they walked outside, tying the bag to the horse first, he turned to (y/n) who was looking over her abode with a melancholic expression, "(y/n), turn to me for a moment."

As soon as she did, he got on his knee and took her hand, placing a kiss on top and looking up at her with a smile, "This isn't really formal I know, and everything may be going to fast for your liking, but estelio enni, le melithon anuir. I will be a husband worthy to you, and you alone." She kneeled down and kissed his forehead, then his cheek, before placing a feathery kiss on his lips, "Guren min gaim lín, Legolas.*"
