"He hasn't said anything about it?" Ashton asked, spinning on her drumming stool.
"No. He's not answering my texts anymore either. What about Mikey?" Luke asked, strumming a lazy arrangement on his guitar from the coach.
"He doesn't have a phone and I don't know where he lives. I'm so worried I'm thinking about breaking into the school records," Ashton sighed.
"He doesn't have a phone?" Luke questioned.
"Why haven't you kissed me?" The sudden question had Luke's fingers slipping from the strings, a loud, messy clash of strings vibrating through the room.
"What?" He asked dumbly. Ashton groaned and stopped her spinning.
"If you don't want to that's fine but at least acknowledge the fact that I've been trying to kiss you for like two weeks now," she said. Luke looked down at the guitar in his lap and sighed.
"This all started out as me trying to get a band together to perform at the middle of the year assembly, right? And we started making some really good progress on Social Casualty, I just," he ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh, "I didn't want to make it messy."
"Well look at that, Calum did that for you. What now?" She said with a soft, airy laugh. Luke looked up and repeated her words in his head. What now?
He dropped the guitar on the couch, stood up, and walked over to Ashton's drum kit. He held his hand out and she took it with wide eyes and flushed cheeks. He pulled her up slowly, cupped her pink cheeks, and kissed her.
"Finally," she whispered against his lips.
"Shut up." Luke smiled, guiding her head to the side so he could kiss her more deeply. Ashton wrapped her arms around Luke's shoulders, grabbing at his tee shirt.
"Cherries," Luke whispered.
"What?" Ashton pulled away, her head tilting.
"10 minutes ago I was wondering what your lip gloss tasted like," he kissed her again, sucking softly on her bottom lip, making her gasp. "It's cherries," he said with a small smirk. Ashton rolled her eyes as she pressed into him again.
