Ginny POV
As we lead the group into the school, they looked around in awe. It reminded me of my first time at Hogwarts. After all that had happened I suppose I forgot how beautiful this place actually was.
One girl, Annabeth was particularly amazed. I could hear her telling Percy, who I presumed was her boyfriend all about the architecture. He was taking every word in, but watching her rather than looking around.
Soon, we arrived at McGonagall's office.
"We'll go in first if you guys just wait here." Hermione told them and, after quietly giving the password so that these guys couldn't hear, after all, we didn't know if we could trust them yet, we made our way into the office.
Once they thought we had moved out of earshot, I heard one voice say "This is the place, it must be." But before I could hear any more, the door slid shut behind us.When we entered the office, McGonagall took one look at us and narrowed her eyes.
"What trouble have you four got yourselves into now?"
"How did you," Ron began, McGonagall looked at him over her glasses, "never mind."
Hermione briefly explained the morning's events while McGonagall listened.
"So, do you think you can trust them?"
Hermione began to nod but I interjected. "I'm not sure." I explained what I had overheard and the others listened intently.
"Puzzling," McGonagall said. "They do say keep your friends close and your enemies closer. If we enrol them, at least we will be able to keep an eye on them. Bring them in. I would quite like to meet them."
I got up and headed for the door.As it opened, the group waited outside froze. They relaxed a bit when they saw it was me but not enough to convince me that they hadn't been talking about us, then again, I suppose we were talking about them, so it was only fair.
"McGonagall wants to meet you." I told them, gesturing for them to follow me."So you want to enrol at Hogwarts?" She asked, "might I know why?"
They all looked to Annabeth, clearly she was the brains of the bunch. "We needed a change from where we were before," she responded. It seemed genuine but who can tell.
After a bit more discussion, in which very vague answers were given, which only heightened my suspicion, McGonagall agreed to let them join.
"When you arrive, you will be sorted based on your attributes. The house you are placed in will be who you will live with and have classes with for the year, though I'm sure you already knew this from Ilvermorny."
"Yes, of course."
"Now I trust you have wands, but you will be needing other supplies. I will arrange for Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny to take you to Diagon Alley to get them."
"Actually, we don't have wands." Nico. The darkness of the room had meant he blended in even more than he had on the ship, he would be a hard one to watch. To my surprise, McGonagall barely reacted.
"How do you not have wands?" Harry asked.
"We had a tough journey," Percy told us. "There were storms and... birds... and stuff. They all got lost or broken."
"Then tomorrow," McGonagall instructed, "you shall all go to Diagon Alley, there you will get everything you need to be a successful student at Hogwarts."
