A/N: Yay! I updated again. Thank you again if you're reading this because it means I have a reader. *pause for moment of silence* Anyway! This chapter is not the best and will certainly go through more edits so don't get too attached. (Not that you would anyway)
Amelia sobbed in the bathroom. She finally got the chance for a friend and he had found out about her secret and wasn't going to give up any time soon. He was going to get himself hurt! The poachers didn't spare anyone. No one was innocent in their eyes as long as they knew about magic. She sometimes felt like a monster just for being this way. She endangered those around her. Her father, her sister... just from the way she had been born. She sometimes wished she could tell someone. Or at least not have to worry about them always on her tail. When the bell rang she hurriedly dried her tears and moved to leave the bathroom only to catch her reflection in the mirror. She stared into the eyes that weren't her own and then shook her head and removed the contacts. She couldn't hide it anymore. Not from him. He hadn't backed down and maybe never would but neither would she.

Ethan was following Amelia from a distance. He didn't want her to catch him and get even more freaked out. He hadn't talked to her for the rest of the day to make it look like he had given up. They were passing on a short trail that crossed through the woods and looked like it was only used by Amelia. She reached a small clearing and glanced around quickly. Ethan took in a breath. This was it. This was her secret. He stepped behind a tree carefully. Amelia stepped forward. As she did, her foot pushed her off the ground and she... changed. Her entire body shrank, her arms became wings, her feet became claws. Once she was fully in the air, she was a hawk, fierce and powerful. He chased after her as she took off through the trees. They ran a good distance through the forest, taking seemingly random turns until finally, nearly in the heart of the wooded area, they came upon a house.
Amelia shifted back and Ethan couldn't help himself. "Amelia!"
Amelia turned around, shrieked, opened the door of her house and slammed it in his face.
"I guess I deserved that," Ethen muttered. "Amelia please!"
"Go away! I should have known you were working for them. I won't come with you!"
Ethan panicked. It wouldn't be good to have Amelia thinking he was working for whoever 'them' was. He could tell by the fear in her voice when she said it. "I'm sorry! I don't know what you're talking about! I wanted to find out your secret so I was going to follow you home! I didn't mean to be creepy but I can see how that was probably the wrong move."
Ethan could practically hear Amelia rolling her eyes. "Well duh! Since when is stalking someone the right move!"
"Come on Amelia! I promise I don't know who you're talking about. How can I prove it?"
"Just go away! Leave me alone and then I'll know."
"Amelia, I know what you can do, you have to trust me. I want to know why you're in danger."He heard Amelia slump against the door. "Fine, but we need to be fast. It's not safe here."
Ethan frowned and thought back to what Amelia had said earlier. "I don't want to risk your life." Something was going on here and he wasn't sure what he had gotten himself into.
A/N: Yay! Stuff finally happened! Once again, there will be edits. Just saying. Bye for now!
