Lucius looked at you with hatred in his eyes. Seeing you holding his son's hand in front of him made him sick with rage. "A muggle-born?" He spat, looking at his son. "Have you gone mad?" Draco clutched your hand tight and stood up straight, a stern look across his face.

"Lucius, please." Narcissa, Draco's mother, begged. "Don't do this."

"No, it's okay mother," Draco said, keeping his eyes on his father. "You don't get to control me anymore. You don't get to dictate the rest of my life; I won't allow it." He looked at you. "(Y/n) is a wonderful person and I am in love with her. There's nothing you could do to change my mind."

Lucius scoffed. "Oh please. Love." He said, as though love was some kind of joke. "She's a muggle-born witch."

"I don't care about any of that!" Draco replied. "I love her for who she is as a person, not for her blood status. I refuse to be driven by the dark forces that have driven you my entire life."

"Pathetic," Lucius said, as he started to walk away, dragging Narcissa with him as she begged him to see reason. "I refuse to acknowledge this." He said. 

"Wait!" You found yourself saying. Lucius turned around and looked at you. 

"How dare you talk to me!" He spat as Narcissa got increasingly annoyed with him. 

"Let's listen to what she has to say," Narcissa begged. 

"I don't expect you to like me." You said, still attached to Draco. You were now speaking to Narcissa: "But I love your son." You looked at Draco. "I love our unborn child, so if you can't love me, please try and love your grandchild." Draco looked at you in shock, with tears in his eyes. "You're pregnant?" He asked, in disbelief and when you confirmed he placed his hands on your stomach and smiled. "No son of mine will bear a child with a muggle-born witch," Lucius said, walking away, but Narcissa stayed in the room with you and Draco. 

"You're going to have a baby?" She asked, approaching you; she was crying too. She pulled you and Draco into a hug. "You're happiness is what is most important." She said. "I've learnt that the hard way."
