{Astronomy Tower}

You walked up the steps to the Astronomy Tower and felt a strange sense of nostalgia that you were unsure you would ever feel again. The war was finally over, but you and Draco along with many of your fellow students had decided to redo your final year at Hogwarts once it had been rebuilt and the memories of violence had, sort of, subsided. Your boyfriend, Draco, had left a note for you asking you to meet him at the Astronomy Tower. Of all places, this may have been the last place that you expected to find Draco after everything that had happened, but then again, a lot had changed since he last came up here. At the top of the stairs, you saw him. His back was turned to you as he was overlooking Hogwarts and the black lake it sat next to. "A very cryptic note, Mr Malfoy." You teased as you walked toward him. He greeted you with a kiss as he smiled at you.

"Well, I had to make sure you came here alone." He replied, running his hands around your waist. "Are you okay, baby?" You asked, placing your hand on his cheek. He kissed the palm of it before he held your hand. "Better now you're here." He took a deep breath. "Can you believe, after tonight, we'll never be back here again?"

"I know, it's crazy." You replied as the two of you walked towards the edge, overlooking the black lake once more. "Honestly, I never thought we'd make it this far." You admitted as Draco pulled you closer to him. He listened as he sighed. "This is where I stood when I first realised that I was in love with you," He said, after a few moments. "But I was terrified of my feelings that I pushed them away. Until that night," You knew exactly which night he meant and it sent shivers down your spine to see that he was still torturing himself over something that he did not do, nor was he going to do. "Draco," You began but he carried on speaking.

"That night, a wise old man made me realise what a fool I was for letting you go several times, but before I could tell you, the war began and the wise old man was dead." You turned around to face Draco. "Hey, listen to me. You found me and you got me." You kissed him gently. "Believe me, you are never, ever getting rid of me now. We're in this together."

"Good," Draco smiled, and you could see by his glazed-over eyes that he was trying not to cry. "Because I don't plan on it." You watched as he reached into his blazer pocket and pulled out a box. You tried to say his name, but nothing came out of your mouth as you watched him get down on one knee, kneeling in front of you; all the while he was still holding your hand. "(Y/n) (Y/L/n). I love you more than life itself, and I always have. So, with that being said, will you marry me?"

"Of course!" You smiled, wrapping your arms around his neck and kissing him. "Yes, in every language in the world, Mr Malfoy." You watched as he placed the ring on your finger and it felt like you were in a dream. He wrapped his arms around you and spun you round in the air. "You've just made me the happiest man in the world."
