"Why would you want to go to the Dursley's for Christmas?" Ron asked as the Golden Trio got off the train. It was finally Christmas break and this was the first time that Harry was going home for it. Making both Hermione and Ron confused.
"I just didn't want to stay at Hogwarts this time." He shrugged like it was nothing. But it wasn't. At least not to him. Harry was going to Astaras for the first time this break. Before the other two Gryffindors could say anything out, Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas ran over, out of breath.
"There's a fit bird at the end of the station!" Seamus said as they caught their breathe.
"What did she look like?" Ron asked with genuine curiosity.
"She had kind of dark tan-ish skin, off the shoulder top, and her hair! It was minty green. She's really pretty.." Dean said as Harry realized who they were talking about. He looked around for a second before spotting the bright hair Dean just said.
He dropped his bag and ran over to her. "Auntie!"
She whipped around just in time to pull him in a hug, "Harry! Hi!" She hugged him tightly before letting him pull back slightly and looking over his shoulder and seeing his friends, all gapping at them. Most of them were boys, one with bright red hair and a freckle covered face, a dark skinned boy, and a brown haired boy with pale skin. The girl with wavy brown hair and matching eyes.
Astara smiled at them and waved, saying, "Hi, you must be Harry's friends."
Dean and Seamus tried to say something legible but it came out in a jumbled mess as Harry watched them with a amused look, before one of them stuttered out about having to meet with their parents before running off.
Her expression falters slightly before she looks to Hermione and Ron. She smiles once more before saying, "Hi, I'm Astara White, Harry's godmother."
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Hermione Granger. I love your hair." Hermione gushed about her unusual hair color.
Astara chuckled and said, "Well, I wanted to make it easy for him to find me." As she gestured to Harry who went back for the bags he dropped in excitement.
"Well well well, if it isn't Astara White, daughter of muggles."
Hearing the familiar voice, Astara whipped around only to be met with the icy eyes of Lucius Malfoy. She faked a smile, as she always did with him, and said, "Lucius Malfoy, son of...a bitch. What are you doing here?" The last part of his title was said exasperatedly, as she really didn't have the energy to deal with him today.
"I'm here to pick up my son, Draco." He said on his high house as Astaras eye widened at the news.
"There's another one of you?" She asked, almost not believing it but sure enough, standing by the Slytherins side was a not-so-mini version of him. Blindly blonde hair and all.
Not waiting for any confirmation from Lucius, she turned to her godson and his friends and said, "I am so sorry." Feeling bad that they had to deal with their one Malfoy like she had. But what Lucius said next made her pissed.
"I see you're still as immature as always." He said with a (subtle) eye roll. Suddenly, Astaras once mint green hair turned to crimson red as she grew a Cheshire Cat smile that only meant trouble.
"Careful Lucius, you don't want a repeat of sixth year, now do we?" She asked teasingly as she knew what happened, well, what she did his sixth year, her seventh. She continued, her malicious smile growing even more as she watch him stiffen, "And in front of so many people too.."
Harry, Ron and Hermione all watched with open eyes as Harry's godmother managed to scare Lucius Malfoy. Ron leaned over and whispered, "Your godmothers a badass!"
"I know." He whispered back as he watched, feeling his chest swell with pride that he got such a cool aunt/godmother. Only a few weeks ago, he only had a family of muggles that hated his existence but now..he got her.
"I guess not.." Lucius said, not as proudly as before since his ego deflated at the embarrassing memory. Astara smiled in victory as she nodded, "Well then, I will be off, with my godson now, thank you very much." She turned her back to them, sadly not able to see the surprised looks on the Malfoys faces as she hooked her arm with Harry's, picked up one of his bags, waved goodbye to his friends, and walked away.
"What happened in sixth year?"
"I kicked his ass."
