Jeff park his red sedan car at the cemetery. It was a routine for him to visit the grave of his late wife. Jeff gets out of his car. Jeff wore blue jeans, a black T-shirt. He takes out a bunch of neatly rapped flowers. Seeing Bill Stone bought back memories of the day his wife died.
He locked the door and walked towards the grave. He stood opposite the tombstone. Tears sink down from his eyes. He placed the flowers near the tombstone.
"I missed you, my love. Life without you is hard. I try everyday to stay strong but sometimes it becomes too much. I wish I could've have saved you that day." Jeff says as he wipes the tears.
"I know that you're in a happy place now. I wish I could be there with you. I'm really worried lately, it seems like I keep on losing people I care about. And I seem to fail to protect them." He sighed heavily.
"I know you would want be to move on, start dating again but I can't." Jeff shake his head. "You were the one for me. No one can replace the void you left in my life, I can't move on." He wipes the tears.
"My Rose, missed you. I don't see myself loving anyone like I loved you. Maybe if I listened to you and left Clark Solutions maybe you would be alive today. I feel responsible for your death." He buries his face with his hands.
Jeff was finding hard to move on and find love again. He felt it was too much for him to be back in the dating scene, the thought of starting over with someone else was terrifying him; he would have to learn more about his potential girlfriend and trust her. One thought that kept lingering on his mind was what if she had up like Rose? He didn't want to experience the same fate again.
"I have to be strong for you, keep fighting for you. You liked doing your job, you dedicated your life to this field. I will keep your memory alive, my love."
"How touching." A male voice said.
Jeff heard a voice from behind. He turned and saw man, he wore a black jeans, black leather jacket, he was a scar on his face, he had grey eyes. The man was pointing a Glock 22 pistol at him.
Jeff was left speechless as he looks at the man.
"Who the hel..." Jeff was cut of by the man.
"Hm, such a moving speech. You must've really love her." He states mockingly.
"Shut up and who the hell are you?" Jeff snapped.
"Well, I'm a contract killer. I'm sent here to make sure you finally meet your maker."
"No, it can't be. Who do you work for? Why are you doing this us?" Jeff sounded worried.
"That's classified information. But I can give you a hint, this person really want everyone associated with Clarke Solutions dead. And this person is really rich, he's paying us very well. It seems to me you messed up with a wrong man." Trigger informed.
"But who could that person be?"
"Any final words before I make you a goner?"
Jeff goes down on his knees. "Do it. I don't have nothing to leave for." Jeff says in a defeated tone.
"Nice. Well, your time has come to an end."
Jeff grabs the soil and throws it on the eyes on the man.
"Damn you fool!" Cursed the man as he tries to clear his eyes. Jeff immediately got up and knock down the man, the gun fell away from them. Jeff hits the man with fists repeatedly.
"Tell me who paid you to come after us?" Jeff demanded.
"Go to hell!"
Jeff continues hitting the man.
"Talk!"
"I'm not saying a damn thing to you. I rather die than be a sell out."
Jeff clenched his teeth, he got up and grab the gun.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't do this now." Pleaded the man as Jeff aim the gun at him.
"Goodbye." Jeff said.
The gun went off. Jeff felt a burning feeling in his chest. He looked at his chest, blood was starting to be visible. Jeff looked at the man who shot him, Jeff aims the gun at him but the man returned two fatal shots. Jeff went down the ground.
"Thank goodness you arrived in time before he killed him." The man said as he stood up.
Trigger walked to the man, his expression was cold. "Next time you won't be lucky. If you want to succeed in this business you mustn't waste time." Trigger warned.
The man nodded as he takes his gun from Jeff's hand.
"Let's bounce." Trigger said as he walks away with the man following him.
