Chapter 26

The premise of Morgan's company was filled with armed men patrolling the premise. Morgan didn't want to take any chances as he knew Max and his team will arrive in no time. Morgan stood near his window, he watches his men patrol the area.

Trigger knocked on the door.

"Enter."

Trigger walked in the office.

"Boss, everything is set, all men are on their post ready to die for you."

Morgan turns and looks at Trigger.

"Excellent, Trigger. Are you ready to die for me?"

Trigger looks at his boss with determination. "Boss, I always been ready to die for you. I'm always ready to defend you with my life."

Morgan smiles. "I always knew I can count on you." Morgan says.

Morgan's cellphone rings. He takes it out and see the caller was the mysterious client.

"Hello, my favorite client." Morgan says as he smiles.

"I see you haven't taken care of all the remaining members of Clark Solutions." The mysterious client says.

"Yes, but it all under control. By the end of today all remaining members of Clark Solutions will be history." Morgan says in a persuasive tone.

"You sound sure?"

"Yes, the Clark Solutions boys are coming to attack me but they don't know I have beefed up security. They'll regret coming after me. I have many men who are armed, we'll today take them out."

"Hm, I like what I'm hearing." The mysterious client says.

"I aim to please you at all times. You're my best client." Morgan says.

"Goodbye, Morgan van Staden." The mysterious client says as he ends the call.

Morgan felt uncomfortable after talking to the client. Morgan could sense something was wrong in the way the client said goodbye.

"Boss, are you okay." Trigger asks.

Morgan looks at Trigger. "Yes. I just I have an uneasy feeling after talking to the client."

The entrance gate explored, Morgan men proceed to the gate.

Morgan turned and looked outside.

"They have arrived." Morgan says.

Stun grenades were throw in the yard, Morgan's armed men were coughing as the try to run for cover. Max, Benjamin and Ralph they wore masks, they walked in the yard with assault rifles. They start shooting at the men.

Morgan panics as he see his men falling on the ground, one by one.

"Damn it! They're killing my men." Morgan says with anger.

Max and his teams moves to the entrance of the offices. Max signals Ralph to open the door. The door gets opened, Benjamin throws in two stun grenades.

The four armed men in the reception start coughing as the stun grenades realise the smoke. Max and his team enter and start shooting at the men. Ralph gets shot on the shoulder.

Max shot the man who shot at Ralph. They move to the passage. They remove the masks.

"Ralph, are you okay?" Max asks.

Ralph looks in pain. "I'll survive this."

Alex walks in the office,

"Uncle, they just taken out the last men in the reception." Alex informs.

Morgan looks at his last men remaining. "Trigger and Alex you go out there and finish them now." Morgan demanded.

Trigger and Alex take out their guns, they exit the office. Morgan takes out his gun.

Trigger and Alex walk in the corridor slowly.  Trigger can hear the footstep of Max and his team are approaching them. Trigger signals Alex to stop. Max and Benjamin go door by door as they open and look inside. Ralph stands in corridor. Trigger turns to left of the corridor he see Ralph standing, Trigger shots at Ralph on the chest twice.

Max and Benjamin watches as Ralph falls on the floor.

"No!" Max moves to help Ralph, he sees Trigger ready to shot. They start shooting at each other. Trigger moves backwards to the corridor where Alex was standing. Benjamin moves quickly and drag Ralph to safety.

Ralph was blessed heavily. Benjamin and Max look concern.

"Ralph stay with us. We can't lose you." Benjamin says.

Ralph looks weak. Max goes down on his knees as he holds Ralph hand.

"It was an honour to work with you guys. I'll..." Ralph says.

Benjamin starts shaking Ralph. Tears appear on Max's tears as he he sees Ralph is no more.

"Ralph, come don't die on us." Benjamin says.

"Ben, he's gone. Let's go and finish this job once and for all. Let's gets them." Max says as he wipes the tears.

Max and Benjamin stood up and walk to the corridor. They walk to the other side of the corridor. Max and Benjamin see no one corridor, they see Morgan's office. They enter and find no one inside. 

Max looks outside and see Morgan being rushed to a car.

"They're running away!" Max says as he rushes out of the office with Benjamin following him.

Morgan get inside the car. Alex starts reversing the car.

Morgan looks at his offices.

"Stop the car." Morgan says.

"What?" Both Alex and Trigger says in union.

"I said stop the car. Let settle this fairly. No running away."

Alex stops the car. Morgan exit the car with Trigger and Alex.

Max and Benjamin come out of the office and see Morgan and his armed men. Max and Benjamin walk towards them pointing  their guns at them.

"Well, well, well, you Clark boys know how to put up a good fight." Morgan says confidently.

"If you think we're going to let you live think again." Max says.

"Well, I need to confessed something before I die." Morgan states.

"Confess what? We know you what you done to us." Max snapped.

Morgan giggles. "It not concerned to you. It corncerned to Benjamin."

"Me?" Benjamin says with confusion.

"Benjamin, you're my long lost son. Benjamin, I'm your father." Morgan says.
