𝘼𝙧𝙙𝙤𝙧 ~ 𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙡

With all of us in the car Embry drove to my house as fast as the speed limit allowed all the while clutching my hand in his to make sure I know he's supporting me. Waves on worry kept washing over me and I struggled to stay above them and stay calm.
The cop cars and the small crowd of people outside my house made my stomach drop, "this is actually serious" I thought to myself.

Hopping out of the car I ran into Charlie's arms wanting nothing more than to feel safe and secure. Charlie's face relaxed with relief when he saw me but quickly returned to it's worried look. I thought for a second he thought I was Bella and that's why he was relieved but really it was just because he had me home safe. I glanced around while still tucked in my fathers arms and looked up at him "what can I do to help" I asked quietly, "don't go looking for Bella just stay nearby and maybe make some tea for everyone".I nodded my head and caught Embry's eye and nodded towards the door. He understood and followed me inside. The second I heard the soft click of the door closing I ran into his arms wanting more that anything to feel his familiar embrace. Although he was surprised at first he quickly settled and let me nuzzle my head into his neck.

Embry pov:
I could tell how worried she was and how she was trying to reign her emotions in. "You don't have to hide when you're with me" I whispered, lips lightly brushing her ear. She shivered and I pulled her closer feeling the moment when she broke and she started shaking, her emotions taking control. I put my hand in her hair and comforted her as much as I could before someone barged through the door. Jake. We pulled apart and turned to look him in the eyes. I watched his face fall when he saw Luci's eyes full of tears. He held his arms out and I suddenly felt less complete as she flitted to his side.

Luci pov;
I couldn't help myself but run into Jake's arms when I saw him. I had felt so safe in Embry's arms but I sensed needed the comfort aswell as Jake did so I decided he needed me more. In truth the last time I felt the overwhelmed weight of worry like this was the night Bella stormed out of the house and we heard from her days later only to find out she had been hospitalised with serious injuries...

I listened as the truck door slammed and prepared myself for an angry Bella when she finally did walk through the door. "Go away Edward" I heard her scream against the raging wind. She ran through the door and went straight upstairs. I heard her drawers being rammed open and her wardrobe being slammed, worry was deep in my body and when I looked over at Charlie and saw how he mimicked my feelings I had to find out what had happened.

I ran up the stairs taking two at a time and barged into Bella's room to see her normally clean room in an utter state, clothes flung everywhere shoes mismatched across the room and a big bag being filled with random clothing articles sat in the middle of the room. Grabbing Bella's arm I forced her to look at me, "Bells what's wrong, what did he do?" I questioned her hastily. She avoided my gaze and muttered something about having no time before shoving me off and racing back downstairs. She had reached the door when Charlie stopped her and looked in her eyes pleading for an answer, but she had none.

"I thought you liked him Bella, what happened" Charlie asked her urgently "that's the problem dad I do like him, too much.I can't put down anymore roots in this dumb small town. I can't end up like mom I need to get out". Reeling back as if he had been stabbed Charlie felt the weight of those words the same way he had when Renée left him. Charlie released her arm and with one last look she was gone. We got a call from Carlisle , Edward's father about Bella's accident...

I managed to forgive her after a while but I still held a small grudge against Edward who seemed to be the root of a lot of Bella problems.

Gasping lightly I caused Jake and
Embry's faces to crease with worry but my giggle put them at ease, "I forgot to put the tea on haha" I whispered a small laugh falling out with it. "I'm sure they won't miss it" Embry murmured gazing into her eyes oblivious to Jake standing right there.

Luci suddenly felt her heart twist and she knew Bella was here. Pushing Jake back she yanked the door open and sprinted down the porch steps just in time to see Bella as pale as snow in the arms of the russet coloured skin of Sam Uley. She was cradled in his arms which echoed how Embry had held her in the water earlier. She ran over as Sam placed her in Charlie's arms. Embry and Jake ran to Luci's side to support her literally and figuratively as she looked close to passing out. Charlie hurried inside to place Bella in the warm house and Luci followed close behind. Bella was placed in her bed and Charlie left so Luci could take her frozen twin out of her sopping wet clothes. When Luci was satisfied with Bella's warmth all tucked up in bed she returned downstairs and surprised everyone by running into the arms of Sam. He was surprised but didn't show it as he gave her a quick firm hug back. She thanked him profusely but he brushed it off, "anyone would have done the same" he quietly replied.

Turning around she caught Embry's eye and he followed her up to her room. She sat on her bed and he sat beside here reaching out to hold her in his arms. She leant back and allowed him to hold her knowing she needed it. They spoke in disconnected whispers each knowing what the other wanted to say.

Embry desperately wanted to know how she felt about him but new that now was not the time. That was fine with him he could wait.

An abrupt knock on the door followed by Jakes voice "I'm coming in so no kissing ok". Luci briefly met Embry's eyes and giggled before Jake came in. "hey Embry could you take us back soon, Dads itching to get to bed" "ya course, I'll be right down ..." his voice trailed off as Jacob nodded and walked back downstairs leaving the two alone again.

Embry pov:
I desperately wanted to stay here all night but I knew I had to bring Jake home. Thank god there was no school tomorrow as I didn't think I could face walking up that early.I frowned as I gently eased Luci off myself and chuckled when she complained her voice already heavy with sleep.

She seemed to have fallen asleep in his arms so he adjusted her body so her head was comfortable on the pillow and pulled her duvet over her. Quickly he pressed his lips against her forehead and felt her sigh in content. "Goodnight Luce, sleep well sweetheart" he murmured softly before turning the light off and leaving.

Hopefully that chapter was somewhat entertaining. I tried my best x
