I barely slept and I felt like a child the day before their school tour tossing and turning all night with excitement. My hair was tangled and spread all over my pillow making me look like I had just been electrocuted. It was Saturday and I wasn't meeting Embry till the nighttime so I had all day to myself. I started the day off with a warm shower and I spent an hour straightening my stubborn hair trying to get it to lie flat but it didn't want to cooperate with me. I was satisfied with the results and headed downstairs around 11 for some breakfast, surprised to see Bella already seated at the table munching away on some toast. I popped the kettle on and began frying some eggs and bacon for myself. I hummed while I worked and sat down alongside Bella to tuck in to my creation with a mug of hot tea. "You seem in an awfully cheerful mood Luci what have you got planned?" Bella questioned curious of my mood "Embry's taking me on a date to the movies" I blurted out, my voice coated with enthusiasm. "I'm glad he's finally made a move he's been looking at you for some time from what Jake tells me" "Oh stop, you're only playing with me" I responded with a giggle knowing what she said was true.

I spent the next few hours before and after lunch catching up on assignments and doing some study for my upcoming term exams. I wasn't worried about them, I generally did quite well in school and I was confident I could have my pick of colleges when the time came. Bella on the other hand was always handing things in late and getting extensions that kept her and I up all night trying to finish her overdue work. I never complained though because I loved spending any time with Bella and I didn't mind schoolwork all that much either so it was a win-win. Despite all that I've said I would never describe myself as a bookworm, most of the time I preferred to be out doing things rather than reading about them.

I began to get ready at 5 o'clock as Embry was picking me up at 7 and I wanted to be sure I had enough time, even if it was only to pick an outfit and put on some makeup. I spent 30 minutes rummaging through mine and Bella's drawers and wardrobes in search of the perfect outfit and I finally found it. I chose high waisted light blue jeans and paired them with an off the shoulder white top and my brown fuzzy jacket. I put the bracelet Embry got me for my birthday on my wrist and I placed a gold necklace with a pale blue butterfly around my neck. I picked out my new-ish shoes, fancy trainers and I felt ready to go. I wasn't dressed to fancy but I wasn't to casual either. Bella assured me I looked perfect and I believed her, finally feeling truly confident with myself. I spent the last 30 minutes perched on the edge of the couch watching the last bit of a Harry Potter movie with Bella. The door rang and I sprang in to action but Charlie beat me to the door. I grimaced at Embry when his eyes went wide seeing my father open the door but I was impressed at how quickly he relaxed his features. "Luci you wait inside for a moment, this young chap and I are going to have a quick conversation" I groaned and retreated back into the hall while Charlie pulled out the door behind him. It felt like an eternity before I was allowed out and judging by Embry's blush dad had worried him enough. I playfully scolded Charlie before climbing into Embry's car and waving goodbye.

"God that was rough" he chuckled to me "I hope he wasn't too harsh Em, he's just protective of his girls" I murmured and Embry nodded with understanding. We didn't talk much on the way to the movies, just enjoying each other's company. We reached our destination fairly fast and I skipped forward to buy the tickets, much to Embry's disappointment he was only 17 and couldn't buy us tickets for this movie. He insisted on paying me for both our tickets though and in exchange I bought out popcorn and drinks. We made our way to screening room 4 and as we were early we got our pick of seat. Embry chose the very back and I knew why but I didn't say anything only giggling to myself. We settled in, Embry on the far inside next to the wall and me seated on his right. Soon enough the theatre started filling up and the movie started. Embry had picked a horror again but I didn't really care because I knew I wasn't gonna be focused on the movie one bit.

Embry pov:
It was 35 minutes into the movie and I still hadn't made a move. I don't know what was stopping me, I knew I liked Luci and she liked me. That was all that was running through my mind when I gently held her chin in my hand and turned her head to face me. Leaning down ever so slowly I pressed my lips to hers and she immediately responded her lips moving in sync with mine. The outside world faded away and all I was thinking about was her. She smelt amazing and her skin was soft as silk against my hands. I reached down to hold her hip and possibly swing her onto my lap but her hands quickly grabbed mine pulling them away for her waist back to her neck. I understood and respectfully removed my hands resorting to running my hands through her hair. She did the same to me and I had to hold in my groans because I did not need the whole of Port Angelas hearing me. We continued like this, pulling apart only for seconds to catch our breath before resuming. My heart was going ninety and I could feel hers beating hard against my chest. Suddenly I didn't feel so well and I could feel my body getting extremely hot. Luci pulled abruptly holding her neck as if she'd been burnt. "Embry are you alright you got really hot really fast and I'm not talking about puberty pal" she asked concerned. I only managed to shake my head 'no' in response because I really didn't feel well. My whole body was tingling. Gathering our stuff and clutching my hand Luci guided me out of the theatre and led me to the bathroom saying she would wait for as long as I needed. I couldn't meet her eyes as my face flushed with embarrassment. Sensing this she reached up and pecked me on the cheek whispering "I still like you Em don't worry" and as silly as it sounds I did feel a great deal of relief. I stumbled into the toilets and splashed sink water into my face in an effort to cool myself down.

Luci pov:
I waited, leaning against the wall opposite the toilets waiting for him hoping he was alright. The cinema was busy with people frequently coming and going. I noticed this group of 3 burly men in particular who seemed to travel with an air of cockiness. Their supposed leader came to rest next to me against the wall and he began to talk to me. I politely replied with curt answers expressing my disinterest in the conversation. My heart stopped for a moment when I felt a firm grip on my shoulder, the man jerked my head upwards forcing me to look into his eyes. I frantically glanced around and grew worried when I noticed we were the only ones in the corridor. I grabbed his hand and attempted to tear it off my shoulder but he dug his fingers in, increasing his grip. I pleaded with him to let go as he was hurting me but he passed no heed of me, laughing manically with his friends. I leaned away from his face as much as I could and gave a yelp for help before he covered my mouth with his dirty palm. I closed my eyes incapacitated with fear and I heard a sickening crunch. Snapping my eyes open I saw Embry's 6'4" frame towering above the men. The one who previously restrained me was cowering on the floor fear etched all over his face. Embry then turned to me and I met his eyes full of undiluted rage. Pulling me towards his body gently "Are you ok Luce. Did they hurt you" he spat out that last part disgusted with the behaviour I had faced and he was no doubt disappointed in himself. I saw him begin to start shaking and knew it was time to leave before he became so consumed with rage he couldn't think straight.

We left the building and hurriedly climbed into the car. His knuckles turned white from the grip he had on the steering wheel and no amount of comfort I tried to provide made his expression change. I pressed the back of my hand against his forehead and found it to be scalding hot. "Embry are you ok" I urgently asked but only received a grunt in return. He didn't say a word for the rest of the ride only whispering goodbye as he dropped me off at my house. I waved even though I knew he wasn't looking and watched him speed away until his car was no longer in sight. I texted him hoping he would see it tomorrow when he had calmed down and told him to call me when he could because I was worried about him. His behaviour tonight was extremely out of character and I needed to find out what was going on.
