He loved you...
He loved you so much...He didn't understand. Why was he so head over heels for a normal girl that didn't stand out that much? What was so fascinating about you? Was it your hair? Your eyes? The way that you talked? The way that you walked ? The way that everytime you laughed ,he just couldn't stop himself from listening and wanting to hear it more? He didn't know. Was he overthinking this? Was it normal to be thinking this way? He just didn't know.
Watching you from the corner of his eye, Kenma noticed you talking to Yaku and the volleyball team about something. It seemed to be a nice conversation since you weren't paying attention to anything else like he couldn't pay attention to anything else other than you. Even the video game that displayed the words Game Over in bold in his hands wasn't as interesting as you.
He was so intranced in the way your lips moved as they spoke your heavenly voice out, that he hadn't noticed his best friend waving at him to get his attention for the past minute.
"Kenma?Keeeenma?Kenma!" Kuroo yelled banging his fist on the cafeteria table, gaining the attention of the blond as well as other people around them."Dude are you feeling alright?"
"Yeah,of course. Why would you ask?" Kenma asked pulling the cliché "oblivious guy act". He quickly got back to his game starting another match with the characters in the device, even if the only thing running through his mind was you.
"I don't know...I've noticed that you've been a little out of it lately. You tend to space out a lot more often too. Is anything bothering you? You know that if that's the case then I'm always here to listen to you, right? Buddies for life you and me."Kuroo said, crossing his muscular arms over the cafeteria table beneath him.
Even if he didn't really sound like it, Kuroo was genuinely worried for his best friend. He knew Kenma was never one to take good care of himself and or his health, so he was constantly doing it for him. Bedtime was past midnight, only to wake up at six am and go back to gaming until Kuroo came to pick him up for school. Eating was no longer a thing unless Kuroo shoved it in his face and confiscated his DS.
He wouldn't say it, but Kuroo was getting tired of babying a seventeen year old guy. Kenma was almost done with high school for fucksake!! And the raven head noticed that his childhood friend was weirdly changing. And he didn't know if it was good or not.
He would often find Kenma sitting alone behind the school or on the rooftop of the school at lunch, not even mentioning it to Kuroo. As if he was trying to run away or hide from him. Kuroo was even more confused when Kenma decided to take another route to go back home a couple of times a week. He didn't really mind it since that meant more time between friends but he still questioned the sudden change of plans.
Kuroo noticed that Kenma's health seemed to dilate more since they both started hanging out more with the team and their manager. He knew that his friend didn't like social interaction but he wasn't aware that it would effect him that much. Maybe Kenma was finally right, maybe he really was allergic to people.
"Mmm...maybe sleep is catching up on me. I don't know." Kenma answered uninterested. His eyes never left his game as Kuroo sighed and rested his chin on his palm looking straight at his concentrated friend. He was worried but he probably thought too much about it. Yeah Kenma was fine, he always was.
"What am I going to do with you?"
