"Alright guys you all have 5 minutes to stretch and concentrate on your postures for practice. Alright, let's go, let's go!!" You yelled, clapping in your hands to encourage the team that stood determined in front of you.
Concentration...a word that Kenma had long forgotten since you entered his life. But really?!How did you want him to concentrate on a ball if you would be watching him. HIM?!? HOW?!?
"Hai!!" The Nekoma players yelled back, before running off to prepare for the match. You sighed contently turning to coach Nekomata who walked toards you with his signature soft smile.
"You hanging in there L/N?" He asked patting you on the back. You clutched the clipboard to your chest and smiled back nervously.
"Yeah, still a bit nervous to mess up but besides that I think I'm doing pretty good."
"Of course! The boys are really grateful that you'd put down so much effort into volleyball even if you mentioned before that you didn't know much about it. It takes a lot of patience on your side and we're all very happy of being able to help you with that." He grinned, giving you an encouraging thumbs up.
You smiled flattered by the coaches words until you felt a strong arm wrap around your shoulder and pulling you flush against someone's chest.
"Yeahhh! We're gonna help you with that! It's noooo problem." A familiar deep voice said. You're smile instantly turned into a grin as the person ruffled your hair, making it a bit messy.
"Kuroo! You idiot, I did my hair this morning. And besides, you probably don't even know what we're talking about." You grinned, punching his chest."-and what are you doing next to me, bed head? You should be stretching your stupidly long limbs like all of your friends."
Kuroo faked an offended gasp and brought his hand up where his heart was. He bat his eyelashes and tilted his head to the side.
"Ouch! I'm hurt. Do you at least know what those those stupidly long limbs can do? Have you ever counted the number of matches I won with those? You'd be suprised." The raven haired player grinned, wiggling his eyebrows. You weren't even fazed by his antics at trying to impress you since you were long used to it.
"Kuroo stop flirting with L/N or else 50 laps for you." The coach warned crossing his arms. The said boy sweatdropped at his upcoming punishment and without arguing, bowed to his superior. You grinned devilishly and mumbled.
"Yup, definitely impressive."
Kuroo lifts his head up to meet you're gaze as you stuck your tongue out at him. His eyes widened and he grinned back darkly.
"Oh you little-"
"Tetsuroo!"
"Sorry coach!"
You chuckled as Kuroo jogged away toards the team. You hadn't known the boy for that long but you could feel that you'd have a teasing friendship with that guy. Sure he was a piss off at times but you didn't really mind it. Actually, having that kind of interaction with someone of the new team you were managing was refreshing. Sure it had been maybe two weeks or so that you were pronounced the official manager of Nekoma's volleyball team, but it didn't help the fact that you were still a shy bean. So of course that you'd still have a harder time communicating with a group of attractive boys your age.
You turned around ready to prepare the team's water bottles unaware of the very jealous glare a certain silent player was sending you.
