"I'm home!" Shota shouts, closing the door to your apartment behind him.
The patter of little feet could be heard running towards the front door. "Daddy!" Oboro yells, jumping and clinging onto Shota's leg.
Shota picks him up off his leg and sets him on his hip. A head of long silver hair peeks from around the corner. Shota kneels down and opens his free arm as Eri runs into them, clinging onto his neck.
He stands, kids in both arms as he makes his way to the living room. He tosses both of them on the couch with a groan and flops on top of them.
"Dad! I can't breathe!" Eri yells, giggling.
"Well, I'm tired, so I can't move," Shota replies, a small smirk on his face. "I'm going to take a nap. Goodnight."
He fake snores and both the kids try to pry him off them. Oboro is 6 now, getting bigger by the day. Eri is 8 and becoming more and more comfortable with the Aizawas. She was extremely shy in the beginning, constantly in fear of being hurt again. It took a long time for her to open up and be herself around you and Shota, but your patience was worth it. Her personality shone through in everything she did. She was so kind and cheerful all the time. There was barely a time where she wasn't smiling.
You walked into the living room, pleas of help summoning you from the kitchen.
"Moooom! Help! Dad won't move!" Oboro complained, wiggling in Shota's grasp.
"Well, it looks like he's tired. I think I'll leave him there." You replied, turning around and starting to walk back out of the room.
Both Eri and Oboro called your name at the same time. You sighed and turned back around, hands on your hips. You assessed the situation, figuring out the best way to remove your children from your husband's firm but gentle grasp.
You stepped towards the tangled lump that you called your husband and leaned down. You placed your hands on his thighs and started tickling them. "Hey! That's not fair!" He yelled. He squirmed and let go of the kids, choosing you as his victim instead.
You were pulled down onto the couch as well, laughing as you were tickled mercilessly.
"I'll save you, Mom!" Oboro shouted, leaping onto Shota back and pulling on his shirt. Eri had gotten off the couch and watched as Oboro was flipped off Shota's back and onto the couch.
A beep sounded from the kitchen. You stood up before Shota could catch you again. "All right, all right, that's enough. Dinner's ready. Go get cleaned up." You headed towards the kitchen.
"Awwww," Oboro complained.
Shota perked up, "Hey, the last one to wash their hands is the rotten egg!" He announced. Both kids ran to the bathroom, hoping to be the first.
Shota laughed softly, walking towards the kitchen to help you set the table. He wrapped his arms around you from behind and gently kissed your neck.
"I love you," he mumbled into your neck as he rested his head on your shoulder.
"I love you too," you said, turning your body around to face him. The two of you shared a loving kiss before Eri and Oboro barged into the kitchen, chasing each other. Both of you laughed, sharing one last kiss, cherishing the moment.
