Chapter 17

My eyebrow raised as I stared at my phone. Waiting for his messages, since yesterday night. He said he will message me once he arrived at their home yet I waited for his messages but I didn't received any. Even this morning, I kept looking for him in school but no sign of seeing Kenma and his pudding head. I sighed deeply before I've decided to message him again.

I don't care if he's going to be annoyed by me spamming him messages, I'm worried.

Me: Are you busy?

Me: Are you already in school? Or are you busy playing?

Me: Message me asap once you receive this Kenma...

How come he forgot me this morning... I kept waiting for him this morning but he didn't arrived. Even though I knew I'm going to be late, I still waited for him yet no Kenma showed up.

I bit my lips before I looked up. I sighed deeply once before I proceed walking towards the gymnasium.

"Good afternoon Rin." Inouka greeted making everyone looked at me, smiling and greet me also.

"Good afternoon everyone-"I stopped from greeting once I saw Kenma at the corner, stretching and not even glancing at me.

Maybe he didn't know that I've arrived?

I greeted them one by one, before I went to Kenma and peeked at him. "Hey..." I greeted him in a low voice. I saw how his hands stopped from tying his shoelaces before he glanced at me for a second and went back on tying.

My eyes blinked in surprised, as his actions made me concern. Is he ok?

After he finished tying, he stand up straight before he gave me a pat on the shoulder and passed on me.

What the hell?

I quickly turned around, chased him and grabbed his hands. I stared at him for a meantime, trying to catch his attention when I faced him. "Hey... are you ok?" I asked in a soft voice. Kenma stared at me for a meantime before he took out a deep sighed and nodded his head.

But that didn't satisfied me.

I reached for his face, caressed it before he stopped me with his hand as he hold it and put it on my side. That made my eyes wide in surprised.

"K-Kenma-"

"I'm just tired Rin... " He trailed off before he averted his eyes at me. " Can I go now?" He asked me, making me slowly nodded my head as he left me confused and nervous at the same time.

My eyes followed him, but this time I didn't dare to chase nor follow him. He went to Kuroo as I saw them immediately talking to each other. I saw how Kuroo glanced at me, making him talked to Kenma once again and made him shook his head. I immediately bit my lips and looked at my gym shoes.

Did I do something?

Is he ok?

I want to talk to him but he seems not ok right now...He said he's tired and it seems that he doesn't want to talk to me right now. With clenching hands I've decided to leave him first and gave him space as he likes, even though I don't want to so he can concentrate on today's game and be better.

I exhaled deeply before I helped the others to prepare. Not for long, The Karasuno team showed up making us all gathered and greeted them.

"Hey Rin..." I turned around and immediately smiled once I saw Yachi and Kiyoko infront of me. I quickly gave them a tight hug, earning a chuckled at them. "How are you Rin?"

"I'm good Kiyoko-san. How about you?"

"Same as always." She simply answered. Yachi asked me a lot of question, as she said that we need to catch up with each other or something...
