"So you are not Japanese? Even half?" I nodded my head, smiling at them when I saw how their eyes sparks in glee. My new classmates surrounded me immediately and bombed me with tons of question as soon as our professor left us.
Is Philippine a very hot country?
Is it true that you have a thousand of islands? That is so cool!
So you never used chopstick before?
Can all Filipinos sing?
Wow, your eyelids are so long...
And to be honest... I didn't get irritated nor stressed by their one after another questions. I simply answered all their questions and composed a smile.
"So what's the reason why you went here in Japan? " One of my classmate asked, taken me aback a little. All of their eyes quickly landed at me waiting for my answer, making me nervous for a moment.
Should I say because my father is a jerk? or because he thrown me away just because of a lame decision? Because i need to flee on something that can destroy my future?
"Personal matters." I answered making them nod their head and didn't ask anymore, instead they change the topic- Thank goodness. I excused myself after that and looked for a vending machine.
My eyes blinked in surprise, when a girl stood beside me, staring at me with her big eyes. She said she will also buy a drink. Hana, as she introduce herself a while ago quickly familiarized to me and wanted to become my friend. Who am I to say no? I smiled as I nod my head making her hug me tightly.
She's a wild and small but that's what made her cute more. She's even cute when she's angry.
After a week, little by little I've become familiar about my new school. With Hana's help, she introduce me every department, professors and club- even the places around here in Nekoma.
I glanced shyly around as I feel those deep stares from students when they notice me walked or passed them. Still after a week being the new transfer student, their reactions and looks to me are still the same. I quickly hold Hana's arm making her looked at me and laugh. "Chill Rin, there not going to eat you..."
"I just want to walk in peace"
She laughed maniacally as she pulled me towards the canteen. Hana kept talking and telling me how annoyingly her little sister this morning. I can't helped but to laughed at her on how she describe it. "She just thrown her teddy bear at me without any reason and I can really feel that girl is on a rebellion stage already!"
I just shook my head hearing this from her. "Hana, she's just 6 years old..."
"Regardless! I really think she's a little demon!" She said which made me laugh more.
"Oy... There she is. That's the new transfer student." My head automatically turned as soon as I heard someone said that. I saw how they froze in their spot, stopped from talking and immediately looked away with a blushed on their face, making me tilted my head in confusion.
"Tsk, those cats are being noisy again." Hana said in a low voice, glaring at those poor boys.
"Cats?" she looked at me and nodded her head.
"Those guys right there.." She said while pointing at them. "are from volleyball team. People called them cats for being flexible and observant. They are like the... proud product of our school...They're noisy and very wild but our school really loves them." She said still looking at those guys. "Speaking of that... How about you Rin, did you thought of club that you will be joining?"
