Chapter 16

Niomi's P.O.V

Today I'm going to see my old friend, Kate. We haven't talked since the last time i saw her a few months ago and she seemed really pissed at me for some reason

Brayden dropped me off outside her house and i was left alone standing in front of her dark blue door. Should i open it? What if she doesn't want to see me? Is she still mad?? Well, i guess im about to find out.

I knock on her door and wait for it to open. When she sees me, she seems surprised

"Umm hey Niomi."

"Hey mind if i come in?"

Silence. I turn to walk away before she grabs my shoulder.

"Sure. We have some catching up to do girl!"

That's the Kate I remember.

Kate's P.O.V

I defiantly surprised when i saw Niomi open the door. I honestly thought we were done being friends.

I admit that i completely overreacted about her and Brayden, and actually now when she tells me about him, i just see a cute couple. Nothing to stress over.

We ordered Chinese take away and then through all the laughter Niomi says something that gets my attention.

"I'm going to start a YouTube channel and I'm going to play this cool game called minecraft."

What Niomi didn't know is that i watch people play minecraft. Actually I'm sort of obsessed over the game. (Me irl lol) I watch a few different people. It may sound weird, but i watch this hilarious guy called Graser, i know, he has a weird name.. But he is awesome!

I didn't know how to respond so i just mumbled "Oh cool..."

"You don't seen too excited Kate. I'm going to play with Brayden and  a bunch of his friends too hopefully.

"Just out of curiosity, what's Brayden's YouTube username?" I hope its not someone i watch... Otherwise things are going to be so awkward.

"I think his YouTube is called TheCampingRusher."

I let the words process through my head. Yep, i was right... Things just got awkward.

Niomi's P.O.V

Kate kind of just stared at me for a few seconds.

"Ermm Kate are you okay?"

"Yeah... I'm fine.."

I could tell something was wrong.

We talked for a while longer before i left her house and Brayden came to pick me up again. It was nice to have Kate back again. I didn't realise until now how much i really missed her.

On the way home, me and Brayden were talking about his birthday which was in a couple of weeks. I still didn't know what i was going to get him but it had to be something good after all he got for me after i said i didn't want or need anything.

I thought the whole way home of what i would get Brayden. And then i thought of the best present.

As we live in Canada, it's always really cold, especially in the winter, and i want to take him to a cute little ski lodge that i went to once with my friend and her parents when we were small (I just thought of the long dark lol. Who else watches it on Stacy's channel?). We could go skiing, fishing and we could light the fire and cuddle under the stars. This was going to be amazing!

As soon as i got back home, i kissed Brayden and ran off into my house. I quickly called the owners of the lodge and booked to stay in the lodge for the week after Brayden's birthday.

This was going to be the best week of my life.

Hey guys! I really quickly wanted to ask you if you would rarther i upload long chapters a few times a week or shorter ones (like this one) every couple days.

I also STILL need a name for Niomi's youtube channel so please leave suggestions.
