(4:23 AM)

It had been almost 3 weeks since Seonghwa last visited. Hongjoong was jolted awake from the pains in his lower abdomen and let out a whine from the aching. Luna was laying next to him and she awoke when she heard the human's pained groans. He got out of bed and made his way to the bathroom, Luna jumping off the bed to follow him.

"Stay," Hongjoong said to the cat and she sat, her tail swaying a side to side against the carpet. When the door closed, Hongjoong pulled his pants and underwear down before sitting on the toilet. He rested his elbows on his thighs and covers his face with his hands. He let out a sigh and flinched at a sudden sharp ache that went up inside. He dramatically groaned.

"I hate this, I hate this, I hate this," he muttered.

After doing his business and putting a pad on, he flushed then washed his hands. He opened the door and smiled at Luna who was still sitting in the same position, looking up at the door. She got ready to jump up, so the male prepared himself to catch the cat. She pounced and Hongjoong caught her. She pawed at his nose and meowed making him giggle at how adorable she was.

"It's nice having you around to keep me company. It does get a little lonely sometimes," he said. Luna licked his nose and he scrunched it. He walked over to the bed to lay down and the cat snuggled into him. He soon fell back to sleep as the sun began to rise.

———

A couple of hours had passed and it was now 8:21 a.m. when Hongjoong woke up again. He stretched his arms above his head before grabbing the remote on his bedside table to turn the TV on. The news popped up and Hongjoong went to change it but the lady said something that caught his attention.

"The missing person case involving Kim Minjun is still being investigated. The young man has been missing for just over 2 weeks now and no one has reported seeing him since. His family are very worried as to where this young man has disappeared."

Hongjoong frowned. He knew exactly what happened to him; he was killed and quite brutally might Hongjoong add. He sighed and lazily tossed the remote beside him. Looking around, Luna was nowhere to be seen. She must've gone back to Seonghwa.

The feeling of blood oozing out along with a stabbing pain reminded Hongjoong that he has got his period and he should change his pad. He got out of bed, going to the bathroom. The door closed and the male did his business.

———

Hongjoong walked out into the lounge room with only short pyjama shorts on that were covered by a large jumper that just reached mid-thigh. In the kitchen, he prepared a cup of coffee along with breakfast. He stood there for a few minutes until he turned around and jumped at the sight of Seonghwa sitting on the couch, his arms stretched out on the backrest.

"I forgot how delicious your blood smells," the demon said and turned his head slightly to the left, his hair covering his eyes but a little smirk was seen on his lips. Hongjoong's face turned a soft pink and he jumped again when the toast popped. Seonghwa chuckled and turned his head so he was facing the TV which was on.

The demon had a leg crossed over the other and Luna was curled up in his lap. Hongjoong didn't say anything; not knowing how to reply to that sentence.

He grabbed the toast to butter it and put strawberry jam on. He bit into one piece and turned around to grab a mug out of the cupboard. He poured his coffee and put sugar in before turning around. He jumped and his eyes were wide because Seonghwa was standing right behind him, very close.

"Why won't you talk to me?" He smiled as he pulled the piece of toast out of Hongjoong's mouth. He chewed and swallowed.

"If you think I'm trying to ignore you, I'm not," he muttered and reached for his food to which the demon held it up out of reach.

"You're scared of me," Seonghwa said and the human froze. He lowered his hand and cast his gaze to the floor.

"Yeah, I'm scared of you because of how much power you have over me and how you can easily kill me. You're a demon. You're not human and that's another thing that scares me," Hongjoong admitted and reached up to grab his toast, Seonghwa letting him have it.

He took a bite as he walked over to the fridge to grab the milk. He poured some into his cup and lifted it to take a sip, Seonghwa watching his every move. Hongjoong walked over to sit on the couch and Luna curled up beside him.

After he finished, he got up to put his plate and mug in the sink. As he did that, he could feel Seonghwa's eyes burning holes into the back of his head from where he was standing next to the fridge and Hongjoong tried ignoring him.

"Why so quiet, hmm?" Seonghwa asked and stepped in front of the other who almost walked into him. Hongjoong made eye contact for a few seconds before looking to the right, away from Seonghwa's intimidating stare and his cheeks flushed pink.

"I know what you're here for and I'm not really in the mood, so I just want to get it over and done with," he said.

Seonghwa smirked and chuckled as he licked his lips. "It's hard to control myself right now with how strong the scent of your blood is, my little human."

Hongjoong's cheeks went darker. MY little human. He belonged to the demon since he made that deal. He let out a sigh through his nose and looked back up into the demon's entrancing blue eyes. He liked his eyes, but he also liked when they went a deep, blood red. They were beautiful.

Seonghwa lifted his hand which caused Hongjoong to flinch, thinking he was going to be rough like he usually was but he was surprised when the demon gently grabbed his chin with his thumb and pointer finger.

"So delicate and pretty, like rose petals but you can also be mean with your words, like the thorns."

Hongjoong furrowed his brows and his lips formed a pout that Seonghwa found... cute. Wait, what?

"What are you on about?"

The demon grinned as he exhaled through his nose. "You're quite like a rose, my little human."

Hongjoong let out a light gasp when Seonghwa suddenly pushed him against the kitchen island, his back coming into contact with it and it caused slight pain to the area where he had made contact.

Seonghwa slid his hand up Hongjoong's thigh causing goosebumps to rise on his arms and he stopped his hand where the scar was. He rubbed his thumb over it. Damnit, that guilty feeling was back once again. He... he regretted hurting him.

"In case you forgot, you gave me that along with the one on the side of my stomach," Hongjoong said with a glare.

"Someone's a little snappy," Seonghwa tilted his head to the side and a little smile appeared.

"Yeah, well, you would be too if you were bleeding from down there for almost 2 weeks every month and also have to deal with the cramps," he folded his arms over his chest, cutely pouting.

Fuck, Seonghwa just wanted to—

"Enough talk," he said as he pulled the Hongjoong's shorts down along with his underwear.

He gasped for what seemed to be the nth time that morning, not expecting the demon to suddenly do that, and his face flushed pink.

No matter how many times this was going to happen, it was going to take Hongjoong some getting used to, though he might never. It wasn't every day this sort of thing happened where a fucking demon wanted to feed on your period blood. It was not a normal daily thing but it was now for Hongjoong and he was gonna have to deal with it for however long.
