They arrived back at Hongjoong apartment and Seonghwa gently placed him down. The other turned to him then slapped him HARD across the face which caused Seonghwa's head to turn to the side from the impact and his long hair covered his eyes.

"You fucking asshole! 2 weeks ago, you tried to kill me! What's with that, huh!?" He shouted.

The demon sighed shakily and looked back at the human with red eyes that changed to blue. He wasn't going to get angry. He deserved that slap.

"You're bleeding, let me take care of it," he said as he reached out for Hongjoong's injured hand and just when he grabbed it, the other ripped his hand out of his then moved away.

"No, tell me why! Right now!" Tears were forming in his eyes. Seonghwa watched the blood drop from his hand and onto the wooden floor. He inhaled deeply through his nose and the strong smell of iron filled his nose.

"I'm sorry," he said just above a whisper.

The mortal scoffed. "You're sorry? Right now I don't want to hear "Sorry" Seonghwa! I want to hear why you did it!"

It went quiet for a few seconds, the only sounds being heard were their breathing and the ticking of the clock hanging on the wall.

"I thought I could trust you when you said that you wouldn't kill me because of the deal we made, but I don't think I can trust you anymore, not when you break something like that," his voice cracked.

Seonghwa didn't look up, keeping his head low so Hongjoong couldn't see the tears in his eyes and how weak he looked. His heart was breaking.

"I-I was starting to feel something for you. Me, a human, growing feelings for a demon. It sounds crazy when I say it out loud but I didn't care if you were a demon, I liked you," his voice became almost a whisper. Hongjoong looked down and shook his head. "I can't believe I still like you after what you have done to me, Seonghwa."

The demon became very angry and he clenched his hand into a fist. "You shouldn't! You shouldn't like someone like me!" Seonghwa finally spoke, whipping his head up to look at Hongjoong and the human jumped from his sudden shouting.

"Because like you said a few months ago, I am a MONSTER, Hongjoong." His blue eyes glowed red. "I hurt you! I'm the one that left those scars on you and you say that you have feelings for someone that hurt you? You shouldn't like someone that has hurt you, Hongjoong," the demon clenched his other hand into a fist and his knuckles turned white.

They both grew quiet and Hongjoong bit his lip to stop it from trembling. "You're right: I didn't like it when you hurt me," he said and his voice cracked slightly. "But that's in the past and this, whatever this is that has grown between us over those months, I like it. I like you, a lot. And I want you around."

Seonghwa's heart fluttered at what Hongjoong said but he wasn't sure he liked the feeling. Fuck, he had fallen hard, but he couldn't be around him.

"I need to stay away from you. I don't want to see you get hurt even more because of me," he said and looked down at the pentagram.

"Can't you see that you're already hurting me when you choose to stay away from me?"

The demon took a step closer, making the human back up until his back was flush against the apartment door and his hands hanging by his sides pressed against the wood. Seonghwa angrily slammed his hand against the door and Hongjoong jumped.

"I thought being away from you would change how I felt," Seonghwa said. "Even though I was away from you, I couldn't stop thinking about you, Hongjoong. No matter how hard I tried to push my thoughts of you away, you somehow always found a way to be on my mind," he muttered. "I... I couldn't stop thinking about your smile, your laugh, your voice, the sinful sounds you'd make and the way you'd moan my name."
