So this is going to be half of a full Thanksgiving Special that will be linked with my Erma: Family is Forever! Story. This is the first time I'm attempting something like this so hopefully I can pull it off.
Bryce was currently in one of the few situations that genuinely made him nervous, shoot out with criminals? He was completely fine. Looking at the mutilated corpse of a murder victim? No problem. Trying to tell his Aunt Lucia that he wouldn't be able to make it to Thanksgiving? Nope, no way in hell was he even remotely comfortable with this scenario in anyway shape or form. "Aunt Lucia, I understand it's important that the whole family comes together on the holidays, but you have to understand that my current situation won't allow it!" Bryce said nervously as he held his phone slightly away from his ear.
"Bryce Romano, I don't care if your home is currently filled with a bunch of demon girls that strong armed you into a relationship, you are coming for Thanksgiving dinner!" Aunt Lucia roared over the phone as Bryce flinched at her angered tone. "I just told her that few short months ago I entered a portal to hell and was forced into getting a harem of demon girls if I wanted to get out. Yet all she cares about is me coming for Thanksgiving? It's official, Aunt Lucia is the scariest thing in the world!" Bryce thought to himself as he tried to think of his next words.
"Bring them with you! After all I'd love to meet the newest additions to our Famiglia!" Aunt Lucia said in a happy tone as Bryce hung his head in disbelief, but knew he wasn't winning this argument. "Alright, ti amo Aunt Lucia." Bryce said before ending the call with his aunt before letting out a tired sigh. "Well I don't know what I was expecting." Bryce grumbled as he exited his bedroom before making his way downstairs. "Bryce? What happened to you?" Bryce turned to look at Judgement who dropped her usual boisterous attitude at the sight of the Detective's current mood on display.
"Just got off the phone with my Aunt Lucia, not getting out of coming to Thanksgiving this year. I need to got talk to Lucy." Bryce said as he entered the kitchen where he found the CEO of Hell. "You look awful slave, what happened to you?" Lucifer said in a stern tone, but Bryce could tell she was concerned. "I have to go to my Aunt Lucia's for Thanksgiving. She said all of you can come, but you can just stay here if you want." Bryce said in a still exhausted tone as he sat down in a chair before letting out a tired and frustrated sigh.
"We'll go." Lucifer said as Bryce looked at her like she was crazy. "You wanna go meet my family, on Thanksgiving? Your sure about this?" Bryce said in disbelief as he looked at the CEO as if she was crazy. "Why not? You always talk so much about your family, might as well meet them in person." Lucifer said as she let the smallest of smiles spread across her face as she walked up to Bryce. Bryce smiled before pulling her into a quick kiss. "Thanks Lucy, well we better go tell the others to start getting ready." Bryce said as they both walked out of the kitchen to get the others. On the Road
Bryce was able to rent a van that could fit most of them, while himself, Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Pandemonica rode in his car. Justice was driving everyone else in the van as they followed behind him. "So Bryce, how many of your family members are going to be there?" Beelzebub asked from the seat behind Bryce's as they drove. "Let's see Aunt Lucia, Uncle Dominick, My Cousin Serafina, Lorenzo, Xander of course, his wife Yori, their twin daughters, and I think Auntie mentioned Yori's sister Emiko, her husband Sam, and their daughter Erma coming as well." Bryce said as all three of the girls looked at him in surprise and a bit of shock.
"Fucking hell your family is big!" Lucifer said as she looked at him from the passenger seat. "Well that's an Italian Family for you, small is a rarity in that department." Bryce said as he continued to drive down the Highway. They had been driving for two hours now and they still had another three ahead of them before they would reach their destination. "Well hopefully they are okay with a bunch of Demons spending the holiday with them." Pandemonica said before letting out a small yawn into her hand. "Don't worry, they won't bat and eye at any of you." Bryce said as he remembered the conversation he had with Aunt Lucia earlier.
