"Y/n! Get up!" I heard as I rolled over in my bed. I refused to open my eyes yet as I felt the darkness surrounding me.

The shades were then rolled up, letting the early morning sunlight into my room. I groaned and faced the other way, not particularly eager to leave my bed.

"Y/n!" the voice said, more stern now. I opened my eyelids ever so slightly to reveal Hermione standing over me. "You're going to be late for Potions!"

Shoot. Potions. I quickly scrambled up and pulled back the covers in an effort to make my bed.

"You missed breakfast! I had to come make sure you were alive," she commented, observing me in my pajamas. I'm sure I look very flattering right now.

"I need to start going to bed earlier," I muttered under my breath.

"Ready for the test?" she asked to change the subject as I threw on my robes and collected my books from around the room.

"Barely," I answered, making my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth. "I hardly had any time to study last night."

"How come?" she asked, taking my books from my hands.

"People kept distracting me in the library," I complained. "And then Ron and I had our first date."

At the word "date" she clapped her hands together. "A date!" she gushed. "What did you guys do?"

"We had a little picnic out on the field. Ron prepared everything," I said, grinning as I put on my shoes.

"Well, that's adorable," she remarked, handing me back my books. "You have to tell me everything. In full detail."

"Of course," I said, adjusting my tie in the mirror before following her out the door. "We ate pizza under the sunset. It was amazing," I explained.

"Wow. Didn't know Ronald had a romantic bone in his body," she joked.

"I know," I agreed. "He even brought a candle!" I added, thinking back to how proud Ron was for thinking of that.

Retelling of last nights events made me think of Cedric, and how weird he's been acting lately. "That reminds me..." I began. "Is everything okay with you and Cedric?"

Hermione looked instantly worried. "Yes..." she started. "Why?"

"Nothing, nothing. He's just been acting really weird, and I wanted to make sure you guys were okay," I reassured her.

"He has been acting weird," Hermione sighed. "I asked him about it, but he says he has to talk to you first. I'm really worried."

"I'm sure everything's fine," I said, trying my best to comfort her. "It's probably nothing."

We arrived at Slughorn's classroom and found Ron and Harry standing awkwardly outside.

"What's the matter? Something wrong in there?" Hermione asked, poking her head through the doorway.

"Nothing's wrong. Just, uh, putting off going in until the last second," Harry said, seeming nervous.

"Yeah, we didn't exactly prepare for this exam," Ron explained, rubbing the back of his neck uncomfortably.

"Speak for yourself!" Harry exclaimed, scolding his best friend. "I tried to study. You just didn't. There's a big difference there."

"Well I was a little preoccupied last night," he claimed, smirking at me. I just blushed and looked down at my feet.

"Well, if you don't get in there soon, not only are you going to fail the exam, but you'll be late to class, too," Hermione stated, nudging the three of us into the room.
