Pain and loss are inevitable in life,
but they are not the end of the world unless you let them be.

Everything swirled around in a fine sheen of mist of pink and white, obscuring my vision from what extended more then a few feet away. Nothing seemed to exist beyond me and yet, I didn't feel alone. A deep, inner presence seemed to be building within me, a sense of peace and security almost. It was hard to describe, but it was sort of like giving off a soothing aura that would wrap you up and hold you like a blanket during a storm.

Looking around,  a bubble, smaller than the size of my head. Inside was some sort Pokémon... At least, I think it was a Pokémon but it was hard to tell as the small form was curled up in a tight ball with its delicate, petal like wings wrapping around most its body. The bubble glowed slightly and seemed to radiate the pink mist around me and most likely, the aura I felt to.

I floated closer trying to get a better look when the bubble pops but the Pokemon inside did not fall it simply uncurled its wings from its body and started flapping them to keep air born.

Its body was light pink and had a similar appearance to Amy's pixie Pokemon in many ways. The main differences were that this one had flower petal like wings and little orbs on top of her antenna. It was also a little smaller. Her bright pink eyes watched me carefully, but obviously not worried.

~Hello.~ It in a squeaked, a high, feminine kind of voice.

"Umm... hi?"

She giggled. ~So it's true then? You do look exactly alike, even aura wise!~ She clapped her paws together. ~May I take a look at you please?~

"Umm... okay?" I felt slightly awkward by the question because when I looked in the mirror earlier I didn't exactly look like the healthiest person around as I knew already I was severely underweight. Not to mention all the scratches and the yellow-purplish, egg shaped bruise on my forehead.

Instead of flying around me the look at me, she flew up to me and placed her paw on my forehead. It kind of gave off a tingling feel. ~Interesting. You two could practically be the same people.~

"Excuse me?"

~Oh sorry. I get a little excited sometimes. My name is Dream, I'm a Drixie... Or the Drixie. Depending on how you look at it.~

"Okay, well my name's Shimmer... Or that's what I've been calling myself anyway..."

~Oh I know. My sister told me all about you.~ She giggled, clapping her paws together.

"Sister?"

~Life silly, the Lifixe. Can you not see the family resemblance?~ Specks of glitter flicked from her wings as she twirled through the air.

"I'm sorry, but I don't understand, why am I here? Is this even a here or am I just dreaming?"

Dream was quite for a moment as if debating something in her head. ~Okay, you can't tell anyone that I told you this. Alright? But I assure you this is very much real, I control dreams... the good ones anyway. ~

I nodded. "You can trust me not to tell."

~Well you see, a long long time ago the region of Kalos was split in two separate kingdoms. Each kingdom was led by a special three people, the Pixie Born of the east or the Dragon born of the west. Both kingdoms greatly loved their leaders and their leaders loved them. But both had their own opinion about their neighbour.~

~Each of the three leaders had a special Pokemon they kept by their side. Three fairy Pokemon, of blue, green and pink, for the Pixie Born and three dragons of orange, yellow and black, for the Dragon Born. Now the two kingdoms lived neither in peace nor in war with its neighbour. The two never spoke, traded or even crossed the border line. It was forbidden to all.

However one day, the youngest of the Pixie Born, and spirited young one, decided to explore just a little over the line. Foolishly leaving all her Pokemon and even her special pink Pixie back home she ventured out across the line, quickly getting herself lost. When night fell she collapsed against a tree, crying to herself from her own foolishness, about how she may never find her way home.~

~But she had been heard by a certain someone whom followed the sound to find her, the youngest of the Dragon Born and his black dragon froze as did the Pixie Born when their eyes met. Both knew who the other was, the distinctive mark of a Pixie or Dragon Born showed who the other was to the world. She was scared, she'd been told many stories of the cruelty of the Dragon Born but what he did surprised her. He held out his hand to her, offering to show her the way back to her land.~

~From that day the two became good friends, meeting at the border everyday to talk about their lives. The youngest Dragon Born taught her to read stars and the youngest Pixie Born thought him how to weave leaves and plants into baskets and many other things. They became good friends but, soon their fellow Dragon and Pixie Born became aware of their meetings and forbid them ever to see each other again, but regardless the two continued to meet. This angered the other two Dragon Born greatly and they made a plan to get rid of the youngest Pixie Born.~

~News of the Dragon Borns plan reached the eldest Pixie Born and in fear of her youngest sisters life, she hid her away where no one could find her which lead to the two kingdoms falling into a foolish and pointless war. The three pixies of the Pixie Born fighting the three dragons of the Dragon Born. All were immortal, which means that all they could do was defeat the other but their humans were very much mortal and under that hand of the two eldest Dragon Born, the eldest Pixie Born fell. Without the support of the Pixie born, the blue and green Pixie's fell. Disappearing into the sky.~

~The final pixie withdrew from her fight, flying off to her own Pixie Born who was still in hiding. She did not know she had a follower, the youngest Dragon Born and his dragon, that Dragon she'd been forces to fight. When he found her, she was afraid that he would hurt her but all he wanted was to see his old friend once more. While they were separated he found out a very simple fact. He loved her very much. Together, for a year, the two lived happily together. Until the oldest Dragon Born found them and killed her, right in front of the youngest ones eyes. With that the final pixie joined her sisters in the sky. The eldest Dragon Born had no idea of the mistake he'd made.~

~The world became unbalanced. Without the Pixie Born, peace and destruction fell out of balance. The only way to stop the worlds total destruction, to equal the scales. For their kingdom the the Dragon Born took their own lives and their Dragons disappeared towards the moon and the world was once again at peace. However it was said that when six more children with the right potential, the Dragon and Pixie Pokemon would wake once again.~ Dream finished her story.

I was quite for a moment trying to take it all in. "Wait, you said pink and green Pixie, is that meant to be you and Life?"

~Unfortunately that amount of knowledge I can give you is limited.~ Dream sighed, her previous excitement seeming to have evaporated to a serious demeanour.

It was quiet for a moment. "If you don't mind me asking, what has this got to do with me?"

Dream just smiled. ~More than you know, but unfortunately I am forbidden to give you any more knowledge than I have. But I have one request from you.~

"What is that?"

~Find her.~

And just like that everything vanished.
