We all sat down in the small clearing.
"Now explain." Tamara commanded.
"It just happened so fast. I can't even explain it."
Melissa raised her eyebrows.
"I don't even know you why would you come looking for me?" I asked confusion dripping from my words.
"In our society's you just do nice things. For everyone, even if you just met them and they were a complete jerk to you." Melissa said glancing at me.
"Now can you explain this?" Tamara snapped gesturing to our worn bodies.
"We don't have to explain anything to you." Alex spat at her. "I could have you killed for yelling at a soldier!"
She scowled but kept quiet. I closed my eyes and mustered a huge sigh. Tears began to fall out of my eyes as I thought of Gladious. Guilt overwhelmed me for killing him twice. It suffocated me taking control of me and filling my mind with memories of his bloody grin.
"Take me to jail Alex." I begged. "Wipe my memory, kill me, do something. Take away the pain." I moaned in a small barely audible voice.
"I would love to sweetie but watching you suffer is too much fun."
For a minute I had almost thought that he had changed. I screamed and lunged at him. My scream turned into sobs as I punched his chest in agony. He didn't even flinch. I fell to the ground and continued to sob. I felt a light touch on my back but ignored it.
"What did you do to her?!" Tamara yelled at him.
"Tamara!" Melissa shushed her.
I finally gained the strength to scream at Alex,"I should have let you burn!"
