Chapter 56: The Surprise Project

Aly's POV

This is it! This is the day we've all been waiting for. This project's done for the athletes. To return all their efforts to win every game and to thank them for bringing honor to our beloved university. That's the reason why the Fab5 weren't allowed to joing for the preparation. And if you're asking why Audrey's part of it even though she isn't a member of the council, well, she insisted herself to Sir Sanchez and she did great from the start actually so, we just let her be.

The event will start at exactly 6 in the evening. All of the athletes were expected to come yet none of them knows about this. What they all know is that they'll have the annual seminar for them.

"Ly, may problema!" then I snapped back to reality.

"What?" gulat na tanong ko kay Mike, member ng council

"Uhm, yung isa sa mga special guests natin hindi makakapunta. Pano yun?" nagaalalang tanong niya

"What?! Bakit ngayon niyo lang sinabi? It's already 4 in the afternoon. Sino ba yun?"

"Yung magpeperform" mahinang sagot niya. Kinakabahan 'to, alam kasi nilang madali akong magalit.

"Sh*t! How about yung contact natin na pwedeng pumalit? Have you tried asking them?"

"Yes, Aly. And they told me that they couldn't come. Meron kasi silang biglaang gig." singit ni Audrey sa usapan

"What now?! San tayo hahanap ng kapalit? The show will start in 2 hours!"

Audrey: Ugh! I don't know.

"Maybe we can ask some bands from the music club. What do you think, guys?"

Mike: We already did, but they refused to.

Audrey: Have you forgotten? President nila yung isang frat member na galit sa council.

"Well, we don't have any other choice. Mike, can you tell the band to come over here? And Audrey, please tell everyone to be ready. Any moment now, the athletes will come. Thank you!" I told them with a smile.

"Okay/Sure!" sabay nilang sabi sakin at umalis na

Sigh! Bakit ganito?! I thought everything's settled na? We even called them for the confirmation that they'll come tapos ganito pa! Ugh!

Pagdating ng band, kinausap ko kagad sila and told them about what happened. Sinabi ko na din sa kanila yung gagawin. Konting pagbabago lang naman and the good thing is, naayos naman namin agad.

Den's POV

Ngayon na yung event nila Aly, sayang nga kasi natapat sa annual seminar namin. Di ko tuloy makikita yung pinaghirapan nila.

Nandito pa kami ngayon sa dorm, preparing for the closed-door seminar that will be held at the Auditorium. Nagtataka nga kami kasi usually, sa gym lang yun and some of the student can come over to watch. But this time, exclusive for athletes lang talaga siya.

FF..

5:30 pm na and we're now here outside the Auditorium, kumpleto na ang ALE dito, even the other teams from different sports. Ngayon pa lang sila magpapa-pasok ng students kaya naabutan namin yung mahabang pila sa entrance.

Our team decided to wear our One Big Fight shirt and jeans lang, yung iba naka skirt and I'm one of them. Seminar lang naman kaya di na kaylangan magsuot ng something formal.

Pagpasok namin, inassist lang kami ng mga ushers and usherettes sa pwesto namin. Kainis! Bakit sa harap kami?! Ang boring kaya ng seminar! Before naman, walang designated seats per sports ah? Kaya nga lagi kaming nasa likod para free kaming matulog or gumamit ng phone e. Eish!!
