Addison didn't get much sleep. She was paged into an emergency c-section about twenty minutes after falling asleep. When she got out of it she was met by Meredith sitting at a nurses station filling some charts out and looking through a magazine or catalogue of some sort . "Why are you here?" Addison asked. Meredith looked up at her.

"I felt like working a little extra, you?" Meredith replied.

"Same." Addison lied. She didn't want to sleep in a rusty, cold trailer in the middle of nowhere. Meredith nodded. Addison noticed she had changed into a pair of dark blue scrubs. She's even hot in scrubs. Addison thought. She fought back the urge to bit her lip as she eyed the blonde.

"I would've expected you to be home, resting while you can." Meredith said. She finally looked up at Addison and met her gaze.

"I'm not the kind of person who sleeps in a trailer in the woods," Addison responded. Meredith laughed.

"You don't look like the person to even go on a nature walk, no offense." Meredith said.

"I'm not, I like being outside but not in wooded areas or places where things can crawl all over me." Addison said. Meredith shook her head.

"Bugs make me scream, I don't care if they are tiny, they are still gross!" Meredith shook her body in a grossed out manner.

"I agree with that." Addison said. She looked down at Merediths finger and noticed a large diamond on it. "Did Mark...propose?" She asked in a hushed whisper.

"Y-yeah, last night," Meredith smiled. It wasn't a happy smile but it wasn't a non-happy smile either. It's was something in between and Addison couldn't register it.

"I never thought he would settle down with anyone," Addison said. She felt bad for Meredith. She was engaged to a man who was cheating. Meredith saw the look on Addison's face.

"I know," Meredith blurted whole reading the magazine in her hand. Addison cocked her head and looked at her oddly.

"What do you mean 'you know' Meredith?" She asked. Meredith scoffed. She closed the magazine and placed it on the counter, turning her entire body towards Addison's.

"I know about Mark, I'd be a fool not to." She said.

"Arizona finally told you?" Addison asked.

"She's tried but I never listened because I was til processing it myself, I mean his entire house smelled like French vanilla when I would go over." Meredith said.

"And you agree to marry him?" Addison said. She didn't know what to think. Why would she keep herself in this relationship.

"I wasn't planning to but than it all came out, I'm telling him later in that it's just not going to work." Meredith said. Addison nodded.

"Good, you deserve better than a lying cheater." Addison said. She walked away and headed to an on-call room to get some sleep. Meredith smiled as the woman walked away. It's sweet that she cares. Meredith thought.

-
"You're home late." Derek said. Addison sighed as she got into their 'home'

"Well the thought of a trailer as my house is not what I imagined when we moved here," Addison replied tiredly.

"Well what else did you want?" Derek asked. "I picked up everything and moved across the country, for you, I think you can live in a trailer for me." He said in a snippy tone.

"Derek, I gave you a choice, you didn't have to come," Addison said. He looked at her and scoffed. "I told you multiple times you can stay, we can make long distance work!" She slightly shouted. He rolled his eyes and his face began to redden with anger.

"Addison we are married, if you go somewhere I go too, that's how a marriage works we stick together!" He shouted.

"Than stop acting like I've taken away from you when you left willingly ." Addison said angrily. Derek stood up and swiftly moved closer to her.

"Who are you, to talk to me like that, get over yourself Addison because not everything is about you." Derek said. Addison leaned back as he got closer to her face. When he backed off she grabbed her stuff and walked back out of the trailer. "Where the hell do you think you're going!" He shouted.

"None of your damn business!" She shouted in return. She started driving around until she found joe's bar.

"You're that new doc next door right?" Joe said. Addison nodded. "Well what can I get for you...?" He asked.

"Addison, and I'll take a cosmo please." She said. Joe nodded and began getting her drink ready. He handed her a drink and started cleaning glasses that people had left to be cleaned.

"So what's on your mind?" Joe asked. Addison took a sip from her drink and looked up at him.

"My husband makes it seem like I need everything to be about me, or for me," Addison said, taking another sip of her drink.

"Well do you?" He asked. Addison shook her head.

"No, I gave him the option to stay back and run out practice, we didn't both need to come to Seattle." Addison complained. "But he said we do things together that's how a marriage works so technically he has nothing to get angry about." Joe raised his eyebrows.

"It sound like he is the one who thinks the world revolves around them." Joe said. Addison nodded in agreement. "The usual if something different Chief?" Joe asked.

"Surprise me." Meredith said. Addison still didn't realize it was her but she knew the voice. Joe smiled and began pouring a drink for Meredith while she sat down. Addison looked over and smiled. "Weren't you supposed to be going home like... three hours ago?" Meredith asked.

"Yes, But I'm not sleeping in a trailer so I'm going to book a hotel for the next few nights." Addison said.

"Why would you be sleeping in a trailer?"  Meredith asked. It took her a second to realize she already had this conversation almost 8 hours earlier but she didn't remember it it begin with.

"Oh because that's what my husband calls a house." Addison said. "But I've already said this so no reason to go more into detail." Meredith nodded and Joe handed her a drink. She took a sip and placed the glass down and turned towards Addison.

"Why don't you just stay with me, its better than paying for a hotel when you can be at a warm house for free." Meredith suggested.

"I appreciate that, but I wouldn't want to be a bother," Addison said. Mer shook her head.

"Non sense, I have an empty guest room, a shower, heating, and actual food that doesn't have to be caught in the morning." Meredith said.

"You have to catch your food out there?" Addison asked. Meredith nodded.

"Yeah, trout." Meredith said. Addison stuck her tongue out in disgust.

"You had me at catching my own food." Addison said. Meredith smiled. They drank a little more and payed for their drinks before heading back to Merediths house.

-

"You can borrow something if mine to sleep in since you don't have anything." Meredith said. She handed a pair of thin sweatpants to Addison and shirt. She brought her to the guest room and told her she can change there.

"Thank you again, for all of this." Addison said with a smile.

"No problem, I'll do anything to help someone who needs it." Meredith said. She closed Addison's door and went to her own room, changing into a white bra-let and shorts.  She crawled into her bed and drifted off to sleep with one thing in her mind. Addison.
