"Is that written in blood?!"
"Watch your back. They're trying to kill you."

"Jell-O used to be a delicacy," Elliot said as he proudly set down his bowls of Jell-O

"Jell-O used to be a delicacy," Elliot said as he proudly set down his bowls of Jell-O. Neither Diego or Luther looked at him. Vanya did, out of pity, but she wasn't interested, "Cause in order to make it you have to boil down a whole load of horse hooves."

Diego looked up at Elliot and then looked down at the Jell-O with a disgusted arch of his top lip.

"But not everyone has a whole load of horse hooves lying around and it wasn't till a couple of sassy New Yorkers figured out how to dry it out so the rest of us could enjoy it," Elliot enthused. The others lay back on the sofa, sighing defeatedly every couple of seconds.

"If we eat some," Diego bargained, "Will you shut up?"

"Maybe," Elliot smirked, trying to lighten the mood but failing. Diego was now more annoyed as Elliot scooped some 'Jell-O' that better resembled lumpy cream into a bowl.

"How are you feeling?" Luther asked, changing the topic as he looked to where Vanya was sprawled on the sofa.

"Pretty shitty honestly," she sighed. She missed Sissy.

"On a scale of one to ending all life on this earth," Diego asked, flipping a knife in his hand.

"Hey, knock it off would you?" Luther interrupted sternly, staring at Diego's knife that he had involuntarily pointed in Vanya's direction, "She's fine."

"The last time I saw her," Diego said, his voice catching slightly as he remembered the day, "She had me suspended in mid air with an energy tentacle," he said, changing his mind and deciding to leave Elena out of it.

"I would love to see an energy tentacle," Elliot interrupted eagerly, scooping more Jell-O into a bowl. Everyone looked at him weirdly.

"I don't remember what I did," Vanya said apathetically, "But I'm sorry. If that means anything..." she sighed and slumped back against the sofa. Diego stopped flipping his knife and set it down on the arm rest.

"It does," he said, flashing her a quick smile. Even though his heart wasn't in it, he wanted Vanya to know he didn't hold anything against her.

"I'm just..." Vanya sighed, "Going through a lot right now."

"Yeah," Diego sighed too, shifting forward in his seat and resting his elbows on his knees, "There's this girl..." he began. Luther shifted uncomfortably, looking between Diego and Vanya. Luckily for him, before either of them could say anymore, the door opened and he heard Allison's voice call out.

"Is anyone here?"

"Oh thank god," Luther mumbled under his breath, taking this opportunity to escape the uncomfortable conversation about feelings and go and greet Allison.
