Chapter 1 : A night with Toby

( introduction to Emily character)
Emily is the only child in her family, her dad is in the army, and her mom works as a secretary. And Emily lives in rosewood with her mom, because her dad is based in Texas for now. Emily has 2 bestfriends Hanna and Toby. And she's openly gay and a badass. She's popular because she wins a lot of swim meets at her school. And always have a crush toward the Alison DiLaurentis.

Emily POV
i was half asleep in my room until i heard a noise from outside of my window, i kinda get scared, because it's almost midnight, if its a burglar im so gonna kick an ass and if its a ghost, im so dead rn. And i rolled slowly on my bed and look at the window and all i see is Toby.

"What the hell are you doing up here? Is my front door disappear?" I say sarcastically.

" First, your front door is still down there, and second it's faster this way since it took you forever to open your front door you lazybones. Oh and it's midnight" Toby said and chuckles.

"Whatever, you weirdo, but next time try the front door, those tree branches aren't so strong, you could've fell and die" i said.

"Well im up here and alive so im fine, and yeah i'll try the front door next time. Btw have you done the english homework? Because i haven't and i know for sure Fitz will throw me out of his class again if i didn't do my homework" he said annoyed.
Toby is a handful student for a teacher, so he got kicked out of classes a lot.

"That's why you climbed all the way up here? Because of a homework? Unbelievable" i said rolling my eyes.

"Yeah, save my ass for once will you?" He said.

" whatever i don't buy it. I know you're here for something else" i said.

" okay okay, i can't sleep. And i saw your tweet that indicate you're still up so i came here. But really i do need to copy your homework too" he said.

" i was trying to sleep and almost fell asleep until you made noises outside my window dude. I thought you were a burglar or worse, a ghost. And i know you came because you missed me." I said

" grow up, ghosts aren't real, but monsters are and no, because we spent this day together remember? he said.

" how sweet" i said sarcastically and hug him while playing with his hair which will annoyed him, i pulled away and sit back to my bed. "my homework is somewhere on my study desk. Help yourself." I said.

" thank you princess, and please don't touch my hair, i hate it if you do that" he said.

" don't princess me you dumb, well its fun seeing you get annoyed when im messing with your hair though" i said.

A few minutes goes by with silence since Toby is doing his assignment, so i decided to put on a music from my phone.

" turn the volume up Em, i could use some music to help me walk trough this hell" he said referring to the homework as hell.

" can't do, my mom is asleep next door. Btw i don't get you men, i mean you used to be so smart. Smarter than me actually. What happened? And don't tell me it's drugs" i said with a worry look.

" i don't know, since my mom died i kinda get distracted. Because she was always the one to be around and keep my mind straight and whenever i saw her i just want to make her proud of me. But now since she's not around anymore, it kinda hard to keep it straight you know." He said without looking at me.
I really don't know, her mom's dead would affect him this much. I mean it was devastated but he's good covering his feeling though. i feel like a really bad friend rn.

" im sorry Toby, i really didn't notice it. I mean you always looked happy. Im here for you, i'll do whatever it is to cheer you up" i said as im walking toward him and patted his back.

" uuuh getting so touchy huh?" He said laughing.

" shut up you! Im trying to be a good friend here!" I said.

" im joking, im sorry. And thankyou Em, really. If i didn't have you around i'd probably end up in jail for some ridiculous reason you know" he said

" well, don't worry about that. And even if you got arrested, i will be there too. Not to pay your bail, but getting arrested too. I mean, i wouldn't let you do something stupid alone babe" i said smirking and laughing"

" well, im not looking forward to that day though" he said chuckling.

The night goes on and me and Toby are still chatting and singing with our horrible voices when the song that we love came on. We sing and sing.
And Toby stopped singing and asked me a question.

"Em how's things between you and Ali? Have you make a move yet?" Toby asked.

"I don't know honestly. I haven't made any move. It's just so hard when she's around. She turn my world upside down you know. She's so pretty." i said.

"Well you surely in love with her, i mean your eyes tells all when you talk about her" Toby said.

" oh shut up you. What about you and Spencer? Have things get steamy yet?" I chuckle

"Not even close, i don't think she likes me you know. She just always look away whenever i look at her. I mean she has a perfect family, why would she wants to even lay an eyes on me Em". He said looking disappointed.

"Cheer up buddy, its her loss not yours. You're a great person you'll find someone who really deserve you." I smile at him.

"Well thanku my lady" he said and taking my hand and kisses it.

An suddenly my mom walk in to check on me, and sees Toby in my bedroom, she kinda look upset.

"Im sorry mrs. Fields, i was just copying Em's homework and talking and get carried on time. We're not doing anything other than that i promise. Im gonna leave now" Toby immediately explained him self and kinda sound scared.

"What? I know you guys are not doing it. Em is gay, so im not worried, well if you're a girl than i'll be furious. I was just checking on Em, i heard noises, and a very annoying one, and it turned out to be you two singing" she said joking.

" well thankyou mom" i said sarcastically

"But it doesn't make it okay for you to be up here at 3 am Toby, you should go home now. You two have school tomorrow. And i don't want to see you around Emily anymore" my mom said kinda upset.

And the room goes silence for a few second.

" im joking! Toby you still can see her around hahah. Just not around midnight on school day" mom said

"Omg i thought you were serious. Okay i'm gonna leave now, and really im sorry mrs. Fields for waking you up with my amazing voice" Toby said as he walk out and gave me and my mom a quick hug yeah he's closed to my family, so is Hanna.

" see you tomorrow Em" Toby yelled from downstair.

"Weirdo" i mumbled.

" sleep now Em! You have school tomorrow, and if you're late im not giving you a ride to school, i have work too you know" mom said.

" okay Mom. Im sorry to wake you up." I said giving her a hug and goes back to my bed and try to sleep.

My first chapter ever! Its kinda weird i know. But im just gonna try my best to write. I just love emison so much that im writing a fanfic even i know that im not good at all.✌️✌️✌️
