"If we move this here and then add this concoction, a syrup is formed." Gaia said, mixing two chemicals together. She was down in the basement of their house looking over at Morgan and Rowan who were both on separate computers typing quickly. Gaia turned her eyes to the side seeing the two parasites sitting in a glass container that was used for their dead pet lizards.

"It's so cool that we are all working together on this scientific breakthrough," Gaia expressed with a smile on her face.

"Yeah, yeah, all I care about is getting the recognition that I deserve." Morgan stated making Rowan chuckle to himself.

"Not the reason we are working on this ability injection," Gaia said. "If we can figure out how to give human abilities that are like ours, then aliens won't have to feel so different from humans. And if this works on healthy humans, then maybe humans with medical conditions will be able to survive their fatal diseases."

"Gaia, we know. Hopefully, Morgan was just messing around," Rowan said glaring at Morgan.

"Yes, I know it is for the greater good of humanity, but I still want my recognition after all this," Morgan replied looking at her siblings.

Just then, Terra came running down the stairs smiling from ear to ear, "Do you all know what day it is?! Hatton Festival Day! Who's ready for some festivities!"

Layla came down after and looked around seeing Gaia wearing a lab coat and goggles, "You are all going today. Nobody is getting out of this. Your little project will be here afterwards."

"But...I hate people." Morgan responded with a look of annoyance.

Payton was looking at the crowded festival plaza in the middle of the town with a bunch of game stands and food stalls all around. She held up her black camera capturing the moment of a teen girl smiling as she won a carnival game.

When Payton turned around, she bumped into Connor, "Oh sorry Payton," Connor said when he realized who it was. He was with Kyle. "Have you seen Gaia anywhere?"

"No, Morgan and Gaia will be here soon," Payton responded when she glanced at the ground. At that moment, Payton felt a person come from behind her hugging her.

"Didn't even think this day, you would be without me!" Caleb shouted while he glanced at Connor nodding at him. Caleb avoided looking at Kyle who was staring awkwardly at him.

"Morgan was over there with her family, come on!" Caleb said, pulling Payton along while she smiled at Connor waving goodbye.

"That girl loves you man," Kyle told his best friend, making Connor smack Kyle's shoulder.

"Let's just find the rest of the guys." Connor replied walking off in another direction. Kyle took one final glance at Caleb who was smiling widely while looking at Payton.

"Crush it!" Heather shouted while holding up a phone taking a video of Terra. She had a large hammer and she was about to hit the strong man machine. As Terra used the hammer on the button, the disc in the machine shot straight up hitting the bell easily.

The worker at the strong man machine was shocked that a young girl would be able to destroy the record. Terra turned around smiling while Heather cheered loudly.

"Oh my god, we could totally use your strength to hustle some of these men for money, like making bets and stuff!" Heather said when Terra came over to her. Rose, Heather's mom, was clapping when she shook her head.

"Even though I love a good hustle, that isn't necessary." Rose said. Layla put her hand on Terra's shoulder making her turn towards her.

"You know the rules, Terra. No powers," Layla whispered as she felt her phone start to ring. Once she walked away from the girls, Terra watched as Layla's facial features change.
