Aria's POV

I write down everything I need to take to pack on a little notepad resting on my desk. My flight is in two days and I am so excited. There's a light knock on my door and I tell them to come in.

"Hey, all packed for tomorrow?"

Shit. I scheduled my flight for the day after tomorrow.

"I'm actually flying out on Christmas Eve."

"What? Why?" Her voice gets high.

"Because when I bought the ticket, you and I still weren't speaking so I just got it to fly out the day after."

"Well, I would tell you that I could exchange your ticket but with all this holiday craziness I can't."

"It's fine. My flight is early in the morning anyways."

"Can I see your ticket? Maybe I can pull some strings and get you into first class?"

"You can do that?"

"Yeah, if it's not filled up. Also I'm sure some rich guy won't mind that he's not traveling in first class as long as he's on the same flight." She jokes.

"Okay, yeah. It's right-" I look at my drawer and then remember I don't have my ticket or anything like I need in order to board my flight.

No, no, no. Dang it. My ticket, along with Jacob's, is still at the apartment. How the hell could I forget something so important?

"I don't have it. Or my boarding pass. It's all at the apartment. I can't believe I forgot it." I push my hair back. "I'll get it tomorrow. I just have to keep packing for today."

"Okay, make sure you get it though. Sebastian and I will be boarding our plane tomorrow at three forty-five so we'll probably only see each other a bit in the morning. But we'll see you the day after, okay?"

I nod my head still focused on packing.

"I'm gonna go check up on your cousin."

"Okay, love you."

"Love you."

In less than seventy-two hours I'll be back home. Even though it's just for two weeks, I'm still so happy. Then it's back to New York when it's more freezing than ever. I haven't been able to see Sierra much. She, Danny, Laur just graduated and they're planning to go up to a cabin and have the time of their lives. And I can relate to that. Which is also why I can't wait to jump into Mar and Bailey's arms.

I keep being a overly-organized packing mess until I get hungry enough to join my family for dinner. My aunt made chicken stuffed with mozzarella, wrapped in Parma ham, with a side of homemade mashed potatoes.

I spend the rest of the night talking on the phone with my best friends and just relaxing. I'm finally on Christmas break and god it feels relieving.

I'm downstairs in the kitchen peacefully eating French toast as my cousin and aunt run around the house frantically. Their flight is in about four hours and they still have to drive to JFK. Which would probably be about an hour drive with the traffic.

My aunt finally comes into the kitchen.

"Okay, can you sit down and eat something now? You'll make it. It's barely gonna be twelve." I tell her.

"Fine, fine. Sebastian come in to get some breakfast!"

"Thank god. It's smells so good and I was internally crying for it." Sebastian basically teleports into the kitchen.
