Gaara x Reader {Heart of a monster}

"I-I hid the scroll!" He yelled out. "Then show me where it is" I told him and he nodded hesitantly. I followed him, I used my secret jutsu again to look through his eyes. 

He had the scroll in his pocket. I stopped walking, he turned around to look at me. "Come on" He said and I smiled. A habit I picked up from my mother. "You lied to me" I said, he got chills and goosebumps. "No, no I didn't!" He said. "Are you trying to lure me into a trap?" I giggled and he backed up as I walked towards him. "No!" He yelled. 

"You have your scroll in your pocket" I said and he was shocked with both fear and confusion. "How did you know...?" He asked. "That's a secret" I said and threw a kunai at him. It hit his shoulder. He screamed and looked at his shoulder, then ran into the forest. 

I threw another one at him and it flew straight past his head taking a bit of his ear. He started doing hand signs while running, ignoring the pain. Then a couple of clones appeared. I made a few of my own shadow clones. 

I was still following him as my clones easily took down his clones. I threw a kunai at him again, but this time I hit him in the back. It turned into a log. I stopped. "Substitution jutsu huh?" I said and looked around in the trees. "You couldn't have gotten far, I know for a fact you are still in earshot" I said. 

He was in a tree hiding behind the wood. Peeking out from it every once in a while to see where I was at. He was watching me look around in the trees. "Come out! I will find you eventually!" I yelled. 

When he turned back around he saw me sitting right in front of him, it was one of my shadow clones from earlier. "I told ya I would find you" I said smiling, he screamed as my shadow clone pushed him off the tree. 

I turned around to see my shadow clone in the tree and as it pushed the boy out of the tree. I stood over the boy and took the scroll from his pocket before walking away. I left him there with broken bones from the fall, a ripped ear, and a stab in the shoulder from me. 

I headed to the meet up place where I could feel three others chakra's. I went a different direction from them and took a seat in the building. One the way here I picked some berries to eat. 

I then heard the voices of the other people in this building. 'Huh, that's girls voice sounds familiar' I thought to myself. I started thinking about Gaara. "What if Gaara is here at the chunin exams?" I said aloud, shocked. I then started thinking about the voice I heard and why is was familiar. 

~flashback~

The night before leaving Suna, when I went to go see Gaara for the last time I could hear a voice. I looked inside a room before going to go see Gaara, is was a girl with dirty blonde hair and a boy with brown spiked hair. "Hello!" She said before he mother took me to Gaara's room.

I was surprised that my brain was even able to remember that. I stood up and started walking towards the chakra. I could feel one of the ninja started walking towards me. It was a boy, with purple makeup, a black full body suit, and something strapped to his back.

"Ah, I was correct" I said happily and excited. I ran straight past him and towards the other two. "Hey! Where are you going!?" I could hear him yell, but I didn't stop running. 

I could feel both of the people a couple rooms down. I felt like I couldn't breathe, one of the people in the room tensed while the other had a dangerous feel.

I stopped at the doorway of the room and there he was... "Gaara!" I said with a huge smile on my face. "___...?" He looked quite surprised. I ran to him giving him a hug. 

The ninja from earlier had made it to the doorway too, both of them looked scared. But when nothing happened it confused them. Instead he hugged me back and that's what made them shocked. "I missed you so much!" I said smiling at him.
