Gaara x Reader {Heart of a monster}

I made it through the ninja and looked around the village, it was in chaos. I noticed the Hokage fighting someone, I think it was one of the great legendary sannin. But I didn't really care right now, I had to find Gaara. 

I looked and looked but could not find him. So I decided to lay low and hide/run from ninja. Since I was low on equipment and chakra I couldn't fight.

After the whole ordeal, I waited for Gaara to appear by the gates. Which eventually he did. I gave him a hug, I was happy he was alright. "I was so worried about you" I said and gave him a smile. "Thank you" He said and I smiled. "I was just about to my village, I just wanted to wait for you to say bye, until I move back to Suna" I say and he nods. 

"Temari, Kankuro, I need to talk to ___ privately" He said to his siblings and they nodded walking ahead of him. 

"___, I hope you move back soon" He said to me and gave me a small kiss. I blushed almost as red as his hair. He chuckled and patted my head before walking away. "I might move back even sooner now that you did that" I said and giggled. "I'll wait for you, just a bit longer" He said and left. 

I touched my lips and smiled brightly and started heading to my own village. 

After about a month I decided to go ahead and move to Suna again.

"___, your only 12! You can't move and live by yourself!" My mother said. I shrugged. "I'm a ninja so I can protect myself, I learnt from you to cook, clean, and shop, I learnt from dad how to work" I explained while packing my bag. "I'm also very mature for my age, I'm just surprised I didn't leave sooner" I said and threw my bag on my bag. 

"Where will you be moving to?" My father asked and I shrugged, I didn't want to tell them or they will do everything to stop me from going to Suna. "One day I'll come back and ask you two a question, when I do your answer will determine if I will stop hating you or hate you more" I said with one of the smiles I learnt from mom. 

"Fine, but if you come back crying don't think we will let you off the hook so easily" My father said with a stern voice. "Alright deal" I said and smiled, then I left to Suna which was a two days away.

The closer I got to the village the more impatient I got, I wanted to see Suna again. I wanted to see Gaara again too. I thought of me and Gaara's childhood memories, I smiled. 

I decided I couldn't wait any longer and decided to continue walking at night. By the time morning came I was at the village. I walked thought the gates and went straight to the Kazekage to introduce myself. 

I walked in and told the Kazekage that I was moving to Suna and that I'm a ninja. "What is your rank?" He asked me. "I'm a chunin" I answered and he raised a eyebrow. "Huh, a 12 year old chunin living by their self?" I nodded.

"Fine, we will have to give you a test though" He said and I tilted my head. "Why's that?" I asked. "Because depending on your skill we will change it, I only want the best ninja, and your a ninja I know nothing about" He said and I nodded. "Understandable" I replied and stood up, bowing before leaving the room.

I searched the village for a new home. I ended up bumping into Tamari. "___? What are you doing here?" She asked and I smiled. "I'm moving back!" I said and she smiled with me. "Really? Let me guess, you were also looking for Gaara?" She asked, I nodded. 

She led me to Gaara where I said hello and gave him a hug. He was surprised to see me but happy none the less. "I'm back Gaara! For good this time" I said and laughed. "Really? Where are you going to be living though?" He asked and I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm going to save up some money to go and get a apartment somewhere in the village" I explained and he nodded. "While you are figuring that out do you want to come live with me?" He asked and I smiled at him, I gave him a nod. "That sounds like fun!" I said. "I'll show you where I live" He said and I followed him.
