Draco had written back to his father to say we would be returning to the manor soon. I had never met the Malfoy's, apart from Draco but I knew about the deal between my family and them. I didn't think they would remember or even stick to it as my family were no longer apart of the wizarding world anymore.

It was a Monday morning and I woke up in my own dorm room without Draco, I couldn't remember how I'd gotten back as we had drank well into the night while discussing what I was going to tell his parents when we went back to the manor. I rolled over to face my clock which sat on my mahogany bedside table. 7:04am. Classes start at 8am and I knew I had to get to potions as Professor Snape couldn't keep putting off taking points from Slytherin to cover me being late each time. Plus I wanted to ask him a favour, me and Draco needed a letter from him excusing us from Hogwarts for a day so we could go and speak to the Malfoy's.

I slipped on my uniform and robe before applying some makeup along with picking out some black boots, leaving me just enough time to leave my dorm room and join the bustling hallways full of students going to class.

As I got ready to leave the Slytherin common room, Draco came into view. He was still in his quidditch uniform from practice this morning. I walked over and stopped in-front of him as he was slouched on the sofa relaxing, I huffed loudly in front of him getting his attention and his grey eyes met mine.

"Potions 8am!" I snapped clicking my fingers for him to get up.
"Jade i'm too tired" Draco groaned.
"No Draco you're hungover! We have to get this letter from Snape, he's our only chance of getting out of Hogwarts for a day!" I said, lightly kicking his ankle to get him to stand up. Draco stood up and brushed passed me making his way up to his dorm, I assume he was going to get changed or flop down on his bed and not get up for the whole day, probably the latter. As Draco was making his way up, Adrian Pucey was making his way down to the common room.

"Morning Jade" Adrian remarked with a cheeky smirk, he looked refreshed and freshly showered as his hair was still partly wet.
"Morning" I said defeatedly, I knew if me and Draco were late there would be no chance in getting our absence letter.
"You need something from Snape? Sorry, I had overheard you two talking" Adrian said gesturing over his shoulder to the direction Draco walked in. I nodded and started to make my way over to the exit, if Draco wasn't going to make it on time I was going to have to try on my own. Me and Adrian both made our way out the common room and into the hallways. The halls were bustling with students, Adrian turned to me as we walked side by side.

"You know my family are close with Snape, what do you need?" He asked me.
"A letter..." I spoke nervously, I didn't really want to tell him what for but I knew I would have to, this could be an opportunity.
"I can get you a letter, what do you need him to say?" He asked.
"I've got to go speak to the Malfoy's at their manor with Draco..." I trailed.
"Is it about your family?" Adrian asked warmly.
I nodded yes and gave him half a smile, Adrian put his arm over my shoulders and rested his head on top of mine as he was much taller. His hair smelt like white pears while his body smelt fresh like crisp ocean water.
"Don't worry i'll get you it by the end of the day" He smiled.

Taking my seat in potions I watched Adrian as he went to have a word with Snape, by their body language their conversation was going well, Adrian glanced over his shoulder and me a gave me a nod. Looked like he had gotten Snape to agree to that letter. I felt so relieved. Adrian went and took his seat at the front with Marcus Flint, while I remained at my desk on my own. Our potions class was with Hufflepuffs and a few Gryffindors, I scanned around the room people watching and noticed Goyle had sat with a Hufflepuff, my face scrunched up confused, that must be the girl he had met Saturday night I thought. I rolled my eyes to myself in disapproval until I caught Blaise looking at my from across the room chuckling, his potions partner was normally Goyle. Me and Blaise made eye contact and I smacked my hand over my mouth, I had to stop myself from letting out laugh as I realised Blaise had been ditched for a Hufflepuff girl. Blaise puckered his lips and shook his head watching me laugh quietly to myself. Blaise parted his lips and mouthed my name. I stopped laughing and shot him a confused look, 'wheres Malfoy?' Blaise mouthed. I shrugged indicating I didn't know. There was two possible answers, Draco had either gone back to bed or was going to be late.
