Chapter 17

Your eyes fluttered as they opened slowly. The stars shined on the painted black sky as the light sounds of lapping water rang in your ears. You opened your eyes fully with a grunt, noticing everyone else asleep on what looked like a life raft. You were sandwiched between Jotaro and Kakyoin, Joseph was in front of you and Avdol and Polnareff were on oppsite sides. Anne was sleeping on your chest, clutching onto your damp shirt.

You groaned and moved up a little, a searing pain running through your calf. You look down to find it bandaged. You sighed as the small child on your chest began moving around, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. She looked at you and screamed, waking the others up.

"Big sis you're awake!" She yelled as her arms flung around your neck, locking you into a tight embrace. You hugged back tightly, glad she was okay. The five males around you shuffled and woke up, surprised to see you awake.

"Morning sleepy heads." You said with a closed eyed smile as Anne remained around your neck, cautious of the other men around her. You pat her head and she climbed off and sat in your lap. The men smiled at you, glad you were awake and okay.

"Uh hey, where are we? Where's the boat?" You ask, scratching your head trying to remember.

"After you passed out underwater, the captain made sure you didn't drown by keeping you slightly above water. I beat the shit out of him but he had explosives on the boat, so the boat blew up." Jotaro said tipping his cap over his eyes. It was all coming back now, the cut and the barnacles. You summoned Ace and had her heal your leg wound, the small tornado embracing your leg.

You pulled the bandage off to see a small scar but it was healed. Anne gasped, surprised at the sudden healing. You giggle and pat her head, you'd explain some other time.

"Well I'm sorry for waking you all up, you can head back to sleep and I'll keep lookout since I'm not super tired." You say with a smile to the other men, to which Avdol, Joseph, and Jotaro nod and get comfy once again. Kakyoin and Polnareff looked at you concerned.

"You should really get some more rest, you lost a lot of blood. Polnareff and I can keep lookout, we've been sleeping for a while." Kakyoin said as he moved an arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer. You didn't even realize that you were shivering, something both teens next to you picked up on. Jotaro woke up and removed his jacket, resting it over your shoulders.

You smiled and thanked him as he nodded off once again. Kakyoin pulled you tighter and you looked up to meet his violet eyes. You blushed a little at how close he was, but shook it off.

"Okay fine, but only because I lied about being tired, I'm utterly exhausted." You laughed, "But please wake me up if something happens this time, okay?" You say to the red head. He laughs and nods his head, as does Polnareff.

"Hey big sis, can you sing me a song?" Anne asks, looking into your (E/C) eyes. Your eyes widened as an embarassed smile crossed your face. She look tired and probably needed a song to go to sleep. 'Ughhhhhh I don't want to, but I'll be a good person, I guess'

"Is humming fine? I can't really sing but I can hum you a song my mom used to sing me?" You said brushing your fingers through her hair. She smiled and nodded vigorously, laying back down on your chest.

(Bro i just finished PNL and it was so good and i'm highkey obssesed with Isabella's Lullaby, so that's what we're finna hummmmm)

As you hummed the tune your mother used to sing, the small girl cuddled into your chest and pieces of Jotaro's jacket for warmth. Your fingers continued brushing through her brown locks, slowly lulling her to sleep. You didn't realize the gazes of Kakyoin and Polnareff, both of which had slight blush on their face. Jotaro had opened his eyes to look at you, the shadow of his cap hiding his teal eyes and smile.

As you finished humming, Anne was dead asleep, her head in your chest. You smiled down at the little girl and set your head onto Kakyoin's shoulder to sleep. Jotaro's head soon fell onto your own shoulder, creating a little line of heads on the redheads shoulder.

He took his newly learned information from the previous day and put his hand on your head, playing with different strands of your hair. You smiled and fell asleep quickly, leaving the two boys awake.

3rd POV

"You like her don't you!?" Polnareff whisper yelled to the violet eyed teen. His face bursted into a bright red blush as his eyes widened. "Come on, tell me! It's obvious! You like her!" He continued whisper yelling, getting louder with each sentence. Kakyoin finally shushed him and got ready to answer his question.

"Yeah, I guess I do. If you tell her, I'll have your head French-man." Kakyoin said looking to you and then Polnareff, his gaze getting serious as he looked towards the foreigner. Polnareff threw his hands up and then zipped his mouth shut. He giggled a little and continued looking out into the black ocean.

Time............ SKIP!

You were shaken awake by Jotaro whos hat was lopsided, obviously just woken up himself. You slapped the arm that was shaking you as you rubbed your eyes. The clouds now coated the sky, the blue wonder no longer visible like it was yesterday. You sat up and pat Anne's head lightly, waking her up. She sat up in your lap as you handed her a canteen of water.

"Drink up." You said with a smile as she took a large gulp of water. You looked down to check on your leg and it was the same as yesterday, scar and all. You looked back up to find Anne spitting her water out. You wore a shocked glance as did everyone else.

"Hey, that's the last of our water you little brat!" Polnareff shouted. The little girl didn't respond, but only pointed into the distance.

"L-look!" She yelled as a large boat pushed throught the fog in front of them. The boat looked empty, as no one was at the front of the ship to see you all. You got a bad feeling from this ship and elbowed Jotaro lightly, giving him a suspicious glance. He looked back with the same look as the boat got closer.

The boat pulled up next the small raft as the sailors exited their raft first and then you exited yours. Joseph and Avdol went first, easily hopping onto the ship. Kakyoin and Jotaro followed them as you hopped on behind them. Anne was the only one left as Jotaro held out his hand to help her up, only for the small girl to leap into your arms instead. She looked to the ravenette teen and stuck her tongue out. 

She smiled up at you as you sat her down. She wiped off her overalls and started to head up the stairs. You followed behind her as Jotaro was last. You made it onto the deck, only for it to be completely empty. Now you were even more suspicious.

You quickened your pace to match Kakyoin's, soon meeting up with him as he walked up the stairs and into the control room. Joseph, Jotaro, and Polnareff were in front of you two and Anne was behind you. You pulled her in front of you, not feeling safe on this ship. 

"What the? There's no one here!" Joseph yells out as you look around a bit more. He was right, there were no sailors or matienence workers to be seen. You shivered a little bit and held Anne tighter. "Yet look at this, all the gauges and machines are working just fine!" Joseph finishes. 

"Maybe they're all in the bathroom with a bad case of the runs." Polnareff spouts, earning sighs from the rest of the people in the room. As Joseph began calling out to the imaginary people on the ghost ship, Anne broke free of your tight grasp and ran to a doorway. She poked her head in and gasped.

"Everyone, come over here!" The young girl yells, promtping you to speedwalk over to her. You look into said doorway and come face to face with..

"A monkey?"
