"A monkey?" You ask dumbfounded. The others lined up next to you, looking at the cage.
"It's an orangutan." Kakyoin says, correcting you. You huff and look at him annoyed. He mouthed a sorry as you turn back to the ape.
"We should split up and try to find whoever's feeding it." Joseph says as he walks out of the room. The rest agreed as you walked behind Jotaro and Kakyoin, Anne directly behind you. As you were walking out you noticed Anne stopped walking, you stopping with her.
Anne turned slowly and looked at the orangutan behind her. Its eyes bore into her own as she shuddered and turned away, running past you. You looked the ape in the eyes and scoffed. "I'm keeping an eye on you." You said turning around and walking out with the others.
As you walked back on the deck, the sailors and Avdol were huddled together near some of the equipment, inspecting to see if it worked or not. You walked over with the guys as a sudden sound caught yours and what looked like everyone elses attention.
Above you was one of the cranes on the boat, a large hook dangling below it. The hook was swinging wildly side to side as it began to go downwards.
"Avdol look out!" Joseph yelled. It all happened so quickly, the sailor was hanging by his head, mouth stuck onto the hook. His blood dripped onto the deck as Anne screamed. You covered her eyes with your hand and looked back to the others with a scared look.
"N-no one was touching it..." You whispered to yourself, Anne turning around to clutch your leg. You put a hand on her back to comfort her as the guys spoke to one another.
"Be careful. Someone's definitely here." Joseph said as you all gasped. Of course you wouldn't even get a day break from stand users. Joseph gave the sailors directions as you crouched to Anne.
"You alright?" You asked, brushing her hair behind your ear. She smiled at you.
"I'm fine, just a little shaken up. Weird things seem to happen when you guys are around." She says. You laugh and give her a noogie, the little girl joinging in on your laughter. Joseph began ordering the men to go into the cabin below.
"You too little one." You say as you pat Anne on the back, the little girl walking away shyly with the sailors. The rest of the group came together and spoke.
"Did anyone catch a glimpse of a stand?" Joseph asked.
"No."
"No sorry."
"I was the closest, yet I felt nothing." Avdol said, holding a hand to his chin in thought.
"I'll have {Hierophant Green} take a look around." Kakyoin said as the emerald stand emerged and went bewteen the cracks of the boat. You took a deep breath and sighed, you just wanted one day without attacks.
You were lost in your thoughts about how you could help in this situation until Joseph began walking away. You looked to where he was going and saw Anne standing there by the door. You smiled and walked behind the older man.
Joseph got on his knees in front of the small girl, smiling warmly at her. "I have one bit of truth for you. We are on your side." He smiled. "Make sure you stay with the others, got it?" He asked the girl.
"Uh actually Mr.Joestar, if its alright with you, I can stay with her. It doesn't look like I'll be of much help for finding the user." You say rubbing the back of your neck. He grunts as a yes as you follow Anne into the cabin. "Let me know if you guys find anything!" You yell out, the others nodding at you.
You both begin walking through the halls, Anne leading the way. You were paying no mind to where you were walking, as long as Anne was still there. The young girl made her way into the room they were a few minutes ago, heading straight for the cage.
