As Holly finished patching up your wounds, she asked you questions about your home life. What hobbies you had and what your favorite colors were. You both had a genuine conversation, the first one you had in a long while.

"Alright (Y/N), I think that's the last of them. Are you feeling any better?" She asks.

"Tons, thank you Seiko." You say to the blonde as she got up, carrying the tea tray and first aid kit back to the kitchen, only to stop in the doorway and talk to her father.

"Daddy, can you please set up a futon for (Y/N) and Kakyoin? I want to keep them here overnight to make sure their wounds heal properly." She asks the older gentleman. He just grunts, complaining about not liking sleeping on the floor as he pulled two futons out of the closet and took them to the guest rooms.

"Oh, I'll be alright Seiko. I have to head home for something so I might as well let just stay there. If you'd like I could stop by in the morni-" You begin to explain, but before you could finish, Jotaro comes in from the hallway and shouts.

"No! She said she wants you here, so listen to her. We can take you to your house for clothes and what not but you're gonna stay the night." He yells, causing your posture to stiffen at his deep voice and his loud yet concerning words. 'I can't tell if he actually cares, or if he's just pissed. A mix of both maybe? Who the hell knows with this guy.'

"Uh- yeah sure, I'm okay with that." You say quietly, still stiff from his loud tone. Holly claps her hands, saying to go to your house now so that when we get back dinner will be ready. She skips off to the kitchen to cook dinner as Jotaro speaks up again, this time in a softer tone, a hint of red on his cheeks.

"Avdol and I will go with you, we don't know how many enemies there are around here, so it's best to be safe." He says, looking you in your (E/C) orbs. He took in every detail and dash of color in them, almost afraid he would forget what they'd look like. He still didn't know why he felt these things, all of this was way too confusing for him. He found it better, for his sake and yours, to ignore these feelings for now the best he can.

The walk to your house was mostly silent, aside from the light conversation you were having with Avdol about stands. You had explained yours and its abilities as he also explained his. You had to say, you were quite taken aback at the appearance of his stand. You both talked about cool fights you were in and special moves you do. You explained how your stand had a scythe, but you rarely used it due to not fighting actual enemies. He was intrigued by this as he asked to see your abilities with it eventually, when the two of you were in the right setting. Jotaro was silent but content, listening to you explain your stand and talk about fights.

Your conversation ended after about a 20 minute walk to your small house. It was in a neighborhood with other smaller houses and apartments. It had two floors, the bottom one being a kitchen and living room, and the top floor being a bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room. The two boys were honestly surprised, how could a family live in such a tiny house.

"Ms.(Y/N), if you don't mind me asking, where is your family?" Avdol asks, causing you to visibly tense up, your blood running cold as you turn around to answer his question.

"Don't have any! I've lived here by myself for about a year now. You may think it's crazy, but I'm actually pretty comfy with how it is." You say with a smile, hoping that the two wouldn't question where your family was. They just nod in understanding, seeing that it made you uncomfortable to talk about.

As you unlock the door and walk in, the three of you are greeted by about ten cats. All of them were strays and the main reason you had to come home. The two men were pleasantly surprised at this, bending down to pet the cats at their feet. You did so as well before getting up and turning towards them.

"Feel free to look around and do whatever while I get food and water my plants and stuff. We shouldn't be here for more than 30 minutes, I promise." You say before walking over to the sink to fill up a watering can, as Jotaro begins to look around as Avdol sat on the couch with the cats.

You finish watering the plants as you go to the laundry room to get cat food, only to see Jotaro looking at a picture that was hanging near the stairs. It was a photo of your whole family together in New York. You were seven at the time and your sister was five. You were visiting the Empire State Building, a smile forming on your lips at the fond memory.

"So, where did they go?" He asks, noticing you were staring at the picture as well, standing beside him. He looked over only to see tears rolling down your cheeks while a smile was still stuck on your face. He was about to take back his words and apologize before you spoke up.

"My mother and sister are dead and I haven't spoken to my father in almost two years," You say, wiping the tears from your face as Jotaro's face drops. He didn't know they were dead, and he genuinely felt bad for asking, his face filling with regret and sorrow. "No need to be sappy though, I'm sure my mom and sis know I'm doing alright and I sure as hell know my dad doesn't give a damn. I'd be surprised if he even read the letter I wrote, much less made an effort to find me." You finish, sniffling your nose to walk past Jotaro and up the rest of the stairs striding to the laundry room. He looked at your form slowly disappearing into the laundry room. He would've never guessed you went through that, much less kept a happy attitude after it all. His face soon contorts into a small smile as his eyes land on a picture of you at Seaworld smiling with an almost toothless smile. He found it absolutely adorable and wanted a copy for himself, knowing it would always make him smile.

You had finished putting out the cat food and grabbing clothes, telling the two men you were ready to head back. They agree as you bend down once more to pet the cats, along with Avdol. While you were doing your thing, he was playing and getting along with all of the different cats. Jotaro opens the door and walks out first, followed by you and Avdol.

The walk home was quiet as you gripped something in your pocket, a large grin forming on your face. Jotaro looked over to see this, as a small smirk of his own was appearing, only to be covered by the shadow of his hat. You let go of the item as you took a deep breath, soon challenging the boys to a race, to which Avdol agreed and began to run with you. You kept a tight hold on your pocket as you cherished the item inside,

The photo of your family, the last one you got to take together.
