[Cassidy's POV]

We're both shocked after what we heard. Nagkatinginan kami ni leigh, "What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"He said he made a mistake." She replied, "I didn't expect this cass."

Based on what we heard, Dad is admitting his mistake but he didn't explain why. It's like a puzzle without hints.

"And my life is at risk." I added.

What did you do dad?

Nanahimik lang si leigh, nakanuot yung noo niya na nakatingin sa malayo, napakalalim ng iniisip.

"What's on your mind?" I interrupted her.

She looked at me and shrugged, "Nothing.."

Is she fucking serious? I just told her my life's at risk.. And all I can get is a 'nothing'?

I frowned, "Leigh, seriously, what are you thinking?"

Leigh sighed as she spoke, "I'm trying to connect every details and evidences we got cass."

I started the car, "Then tell me everything, Don't keep it to yourself.. so I can help you."

She leaned on her seat and looked at me, "No, I'm not the one who needed help in this situation. It's you."

I know leigh. I fucking know that.

"Yeah and you're not even helping me." I frowned again.

Leigh inhaled deeply as she spoke, "I'm trying okay? Give me a minute." Then she remained quiet.

Fifteen minutes of silence and finally she spoke, "Narinig ko si vince na may kausap sa phone kanina sa comfort room. I think he's talking to his dad or whoever it is, he said that he got something. And I had a feeling that whatever it is, It has something to do with your dad."

I looked at her curiously, "The blackbox?"

She shook her head in disbelief, "Uhh, we're not sure. Maybe he's talking about some papers lang."

Whatever she has on her mind right now, I still have to go to show some respect to my dad.

I nodded, "Okay, Ihahatid kita sa office mo tapos diretso na ko sa lamay ni dad."

Bigla akong nakaramdam ng matinding lungkot, makikita ko na ulit si dad... pero sa kabaong na. Wala nang mas sasakit pa sa nararamdaman kong hinagpis ngayon. Di ko maiwasang maluha habang iniisip yung mga masasayang nangyari noon kasama si daddy. That was the most happiest days of my life.. Now he's gone, and I will not stop hunting down the killer.

Leigh sighed, "You know, when I was seventeen.. My dad left us with nothing, I don't hate him back then.. because I know he'll come back, and he did. Bumalik siya after 5 years, nagulat na lang ako ng nakita ko siyang dumating nung graduation ko. I'm the happiest person ever that day, I felt complete having my parents together again at my graduation. Then, a year after that my mom got pregnant to coco. And know what? Dad left again. Sabi niya di niya na kaya makasama pa si mommy dahil sa madalas nilang pag aaway. I heard from mom na mas makakabuti daw na maghiwalay kaysa magkasama nga sila pero wala ng pagmamahal. So, I let it be. Di ko na hinabol si dad, I worked hard to be a better person dahil pinangako ko sa sarili ko na hinding hindi ako hihingi ng tulong sa kanya. I'm matured enough to understand and accept that they split up. Nung pinanganak si coco, sakanya ko binuhos lahat ng pagmamahal. I'm so lucky to have him as my brother. My mom died 5 months ago, I'm so depressed that day knowing that I have no one else to depend on. That I'm so fucked up. But again, I have to be brave for coco."
