Chapter 15

"Ugh, get off" I groaned as I woke up to see Sam wrapped around me - how he ended up sleeping with me on the couch is a mystery. Since Sam was a heavy sleeper I just kind of threw his arms off of me and hopped onto the floor.


"Ouch! Watch where you step!" I slightly jumped sitting back on the couch - Jc sat up and looked at his hand. "Now you have to kiss it" he stuck it out at me and I sat down on the floor next to him and kissed his hand.


"Sorry Jc" I smiled and he kissed me on the cheek.


"It's ok I guess" He rubbed his neck and stretched his arms out


"Babe why'd you sleep on the floor" I scooted behind him and begun to rub his shoulders.


"Oh my god yesss" he moaned. "Oh Sam kicked me off, he said he had to sleep with you."


"And so you just let him kick you off, be a man Jc" 


"I tried, he doesn't back down easily and he like cried. So I feel like I was the man" he laughed


I stopped rubbing his shoulders and looked at Sam "Yeah he gets really clingy to me when he's drunk or like sick or anything. I'm not sure why but I've never questioned it, I can't believe I forgot about that last night." I got up and walked over to Sam giving him a kiss on the head "What time is it?"

Jc grabbed his phone off the floor "Like 11:15...why?"

"Shit! I'm supposed to be at Ali's in like 15 minutes!" I ran upstairs to Kian's closet where I had some clothes, I threw on black skinny jeans and a white vneck that probably belonged to Sam, whatever. I ran back down the stairs grabbing my phone and bag "Bye babe" I gave Jc a quick kiss while grabbing my shoes and running out the door.

"Bye?" I heard him mumble as he laid back down.

"So how was Ricardo last night?" I winked and elbowed Ali in the ribcage as we walked into Urban Outfitters.

"Oh my god shut up!" She giggled "He's cute and I think I might like him" She smiled as she picked up some floral high waisted shorts

"Awww" I smiled at her "Have you guys planned a like date or anything?" I walked over to the beanies grabbing a salt and pepper colored one for Jc

"Tonight actually"

"Do you have an outfit?"

"No, but I was thinking this" Ali held up a really pretty sweetheart cut black and white dress.

"Oh my, yes" I smiled.

I had Ali drop me off at home since I was running out of clothes at Kian's and I had not seen my mom since I left for vidcon "Mom! Are you hoommee!?" I yelled as I opened the door

"Yeah in the kitchen" I heard her lightly yell - she wasn't big on being loud in the house. She got mad at Kian, Sam and I for it all the time.

"Hi" I leaned against the counter

"Hi sweetie, I haven't seen you in forever" she grabbed me in a hug "How was your trip with the boys?"

"It was nice" I sat down at the counter and told her about vidcon and Jc while I ate some grapes "...yeah he's really great mom, you'll love him." I smiled and took a sip of water.

"Well, bring him over sometime this week" she smiled and went to washed her hands "So are you staying at Kian's until the boys leave?"

"If that's ok with you"

"Honey, we live right next to Kian of course it's ok"

I went upstairs and grabbed some clothes "Bye mom! Love you"

"Love you too!" she said from the kitchen

"Hey girls, I'm home!" I shouted when I got to Kian's, no answer. I walked up to Kian's room and they were all sitting in front of Kian's iMac doing a live show. None of them noticed me walk in so I silently sat on Kian's bed watching them.

My mind began to wander as I just watched how happy all the boys were, right there in that moment just being together. I just can't imagine having all of this change in a week.

"Hey kaitlyn, what's wrong?" I looked up and saw Ricky get up and walk over to me giving me a hug, I hadn't realized the boys had ended their broadcast - they all looked at me worried and I just broke down. "No, no, no don't cry sweetie." he hugged me tighter and rocked me back and forth, the other boys joined and I cried even harder.

"I-I-I-I d-don't w-w-want you guys to leave" I managed to get out through my sobs. The boys all let go and looked at me.

"We don't want to leave either, but we can't start think about that yet. We still have a whole week to have fun together" Connor gave me another hug and dried my eyes with the sleeve of his hoodie.

I laughed and looked at the boys "I'm sorry, wow I'm such a girl" I wiped my eyes again and got up off of Kian's bed. "Let's go to the beach!" I ran down the stairs with the boys yelling behind me.

We all poured out of Sam's car and ran to the sand. I set out my towel and slid my dress off "Damn girl!" I felt Jc wrap his arms around me and I smiled turning around and giving him a kiss.

"Damn boy!" I said laughing and rubbing his chest.

Jc picked me up and threw me over his shoulder "Oh my god Jc no don't ahhh!" He ran to the water and dropped me in. I popped up and looked at him "I hate you" I jumped on his back and pushed his head under.

He then popped back up and looked at me laughing "Ok, we're even" he spit water out of his mouth and smiled at me.

I stayed on his back as we went over to the other boys. "I love the beach!" Sam yelled as he pulled me off of Jc.

I giggled as we all played around in the water. Connor was right, we need to have more times like this the rest of the week and just live in the now.
