Brie's POV

I wake up from my slumber to Seth's alarm sounding. I roll over to find him snoring quietly. I gently nudge him, "Baby, your alarm is going off."

He stretches his hands up over his head while yawning. Once he finishes, he reaches over to shut the alarm off before snuggling close to me, "Babe, I wanna go see my Momma today. I think we should tell her that we are engaged. Can we stop by before we pick up John Luke from Mariah and Dylan's?"

"Sure, that's fine. What time do you wanna go?"

"I'm going to go for a jog, and when I get back, we can take a shower and get ready to leave. I already told Maggie that we were engaged." I tell him.

He opens his eyes wide, mouth slightly open, "Oh? What did she say?"

"She was shocked but happy for us."

He rolls onto his back, "Okay, darlin. I'm going to sleep a little bit longer. I'm worn out from last night."

I lean down to kiss his cheek before rolling off the bed. I quickly throw on my workout clothes, grab my MP3 player and sprint out the door. There's an overcast today, must be a chance of rain sometime today. I jog across town at the park for a bit before heading back home. There is no rush to get back, so I take my time and get as much exercise in as I can. It feels so good on my calves. I'm terrible about stretching before a workout like Patrick used to harp on me about.

I return to Seth's house, run up the steps, and barge inside. I quickly get myself cleaned up and groomed. Seth wakes up afterward to get himself ready before we leave for Momma's house.

After a few moments, we pull up to find her SUV is parked in the driveway, "Good, she's here."

We climb out of the truck and run up the front porch; I quietly open the door. We gather in the entryway when we hear a noise. It sounds muffled, so I place my finger against my lips to quiet Seth so we can listen. Suddenly I'm startled when I hear, "Ohhhhh!   Ohhhh!"

My eyes widen; I reach out for Seth's arm, "Oh my God! Something is wrong with Momma."

I dart up the steps with him behind me and follow the sound of Momma wailing down the hallway. I spin around as the sound gets louder,  "It sounds like she's hurt. What if she fell? I have to find out." I tell him.

He nods and follows close by. I tiptoe down the hallway to her bedroom to find the door is partially closed. I use my fingertips to push it open, "Momma, are you o...OHHH!"

I place my hand over my mouth. Momma is sprawled out on the bed in her nightgown with a man's head between her legs. Two sets of eyes bore a hole through me. Momma calls out, "Brie Catherine Montgomery! Why would you not call first before just showing up?!"

"Momma, when have I ever called before?! Is this the man you were seeing when you said you were out doing some running?"

The gentleman pushes himself up to a standing position. Seth chimes in, "How's it going, Hank?"

Hank nods his head and reaches down to grab his pants off the floor. He quickly hops around to put them on and falls to the floor, awkwardly with a loud thud.

Seth and I start howling, "We are going to step outside and give you two a minute." I tell them as Seth leads me outside the bedroom.

Momma scoffs, "Ahh, please do! Lord have mercy, child!"

Seth and I run downstairs to the entry to wait on them to collect themselves before coming down. If I know Momma, she will be ecstatic after she realizes why I unintentionally interrupted her little tryst, "Who in the world is that man who has his face buried between my Momma's thighs, Seth? You appear to know him; spill the beans."
