The neitherworld was colorful. A soft orange filling the sky. Touching the buildings and melting into yellow. Nothing like the blue that filled the mortal sky. Or the ever present clouds threatening rain that seemed to collect by the small town of new hope. The color pallet before her was mesmerizing. Lydia stared at the sky while her and Beetlejuice walked to a familiar junk yard. Cars stacked higher then the sky it's self it seemed. Rubble littering the dusty ground.

"Hey does the sun set here" she spoke. Breaking there silence. to captivated by the sky to care about the garbage around her. "Uh talkin ta me now huh, thought ya was mad" the demon smiled. She looked at him with dewy eyes, waiting for his answer. The oddly innocent look made the man gulp. "Uh ya...the sun sets, rises. The usual just isn so bright" he answered, looking away from her. His bashful behavior made her smile. Lowering her lids and smirking to the right. The man shook his head but smiled

"I'm tellin ya, powerful tool ya got there" he pointed at her. "I don't know what you're talking about" she spoke innocently. Holding her head up high. But she knew what he was talking about. The fact that she could make her self look as innocent as a deer. It played with heart strings. Including his it seemed.

The man narrowed his eyes at her, something she thought was so funny. His long lashes making it hard to see his pupils. They walked into the lot. Passing the many towers of cars. Lydia stared up at them in aw as she had the sky. They really were taller then anyone could see.

"Wonder how high they go" so spoke out loud. A honking caught her attention and she looked down at the lot. Sitting in his usual spot was their car. She smiled brightly at the yellow buggy. She ran to him and he beeped in excitement. She tossed herself on his hood to give him a big hug.

"Aw Doomie, how's my little buddy" she asked getting a revved engine noise from the vehicle that sounded a lot like a happy laugh. She held her head up to look at the dash board, stroking the hood now.

"Hey mema get over here" the demon called out. She stood up from the car. Looking over at the demon. He held a rope that was tied around his waist already. The image had Lydia raising her brow. She stood up from the car and made her way over to him, where he stood by a tower of cars.

"Ah someone believes in the power of rope apparently" she teased. Her words registering to her. Making her cheeks flush instantly. Before she could interject her own mocking the demon spoke.

"Babes I've always believed in the power of rope. I've been tied up enough times hahaha" he laughed at his joke. She shook her head at him. Not even able to be mad as she set that answer up to perfectly for him. He stepped into her space and her breath hitched. Eyes widening at his closeness.  The man now stood in front of her, inches apart. The only thing keeping her from feeling his breath is the height difference and the lack of breathing.

His presence this close was like reality hitting her. Here she was, wondering about the dead world with her ex husband. A man who had manipulated her, cornered her, isolated her. But was that really true. She had one wish when they had met and it was to die. But he pulled her away from the ledge with promises of friendship. To be her voice while everyone shut her out. TO be the flame on her match when ever she wanted to light it. And he was. No one roared louder then him, captivated audiences. Or was as efficient at getting rid of those who she detested.

At the time he had given her everything she wanted and all he asked in return was to be her groom. Until Lydia flipped the script on him and fought for her parents. That's when things got really out of hand. When they all had to face a demon and trick him into leaving. How she killed him after his breve brush with life. And now here he stood. Infront of her, tying a rope around her waist that was attached to him. Alone with him. No one knew where she was, because she hadn't told anyone about him coming back into her life. Why. She didn't want to think on it. But it was hard when he was so close, forcing her to mentally take him in, their whole situation in. How easy it would be for him to kill her.
