It was cold when they got back home. The moonlight was the only thing lighting their path to the front door.
"How was your guys's night?" Canada asked them.
"Fun," Alyona yawned out. She went up the stairs to her bedroom almost immediately, Aoi following in suit.
Aoi sat quietly on her bed as Alyona began changing in the bathroom. "Hey Alyona..." She began. Her sister hummed in response. "Something kind of happened during the festival." Aoi was silent for a second. "I bumped into this creepy guy."
The bathroom door burst open. Alyona was standing there in her pajamas, a toothbrush in her mouth. She took it out to speak. "Kakiye? Did he do anything to you?" Alyona immediately reached for her guns, tucked safely in her nightstand.
"Ie, ie. He just... he had these red eyes- not that they're bad," she said, remembering her sister had red eyes too. "But they just felt like they were staring into my soul. And he knew about Riku." Alyona sat down next to her on the bed.
"Are you sure that's all that happened?" Alyona raises an eyebrow.
"Hai..." Aoi nods.
Alyona murmurs something under her breath in Russian. "If he does try something..."
"I can defend myself, thank you," Aoi shook her head. "So... Anything interesting happen to you at festival?"
"No not really, me and Romeo hung out alone," Alyona slightly blushed, thinking about the brunet.
"Another date huh?" Aoi giggled.
Alyona was about to say no, but thought for a minute before speaking. "I guess you could say that. But what about you? Not trying to date?"
"Maybe? I do not know..." Aoi shrugs. She stood up and when to the bathroom to change.
"Not even Riku?"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh don't act so formal, there is some chemistry between you two," Alyona teased, smirking.
"Chemistry?" Aoi blushed a bright pink, and left the bathroom.
"You two were holding hands at the fireworks, that's not what you do normally. If anything you hate being touched by people." Alyona pointed out.
"I still don't get what you're getting at Alyona." Aoi yawned, and laid down on her bed as her sister stood up.
"Classic Aoi." Alyona patted her arm and went to her own bed. "Don't ever change."
"Yeah, yeah. Oyasumi..." Aoi turned off the lamp and slept.
The festival felt like it ended shorter than usual, according to Canada at least. That meant everyone was back at school now. He sighed, staring out the window at the spring weather rolling in. Alyona was sitting on the couch waiting for Canada to finish his moping about the break ending, Aoi sitting on the other side of her. The two of them followed him out to the car and drove to school.
Alyona started heading away from her sister, presumably towards a class. Aoi wasn't sure if she should follow or not, and after a small debate went straight to ESL. Japan was the only one in there when she walked in.
"Aoi? What brings you here early?" Japan asked her, surprised.
"Just thought to start early... and apologize," Aoi responded as she shyly moved away from the door.
"What for? I don't recall you doing anything wrong." Japan raised his eyebrow.
"Sumimasen, I know now you are not Kuro..." Aoi let out a big sigh. "You two look too much alike it confuses me. Sometimes I feel as if you are actually Kuro tricking me to think you are Kiku." 'Bakageta, huh...' She thought to herself.
