When Mal woke up the next morning, she was immediately reminded of what happened the previous night, with Donovan McClyde. Which meant, that she had to start looking for that businessperson. She quickly got up, and did her morning routine. It was her first day of school, and she wasn't exactly nervous, she was just...ok, she was nervous.
And as soon as she was ready, she went to go look at the class schedules she had been given from Fairy Godmother. And she saw that her first class was, Math. 'Great! Just great!' She thought. She felt someone looking over her shoulder so she turned her head to see Evie right behind her.
"Hey! We have Math together!" She said. "That works out great then, cause I'm supposed to give you a tour."
"Yay!" Mal replied sarcastically.
"Oh come on, Mal. It's not so bad. I think you're really gonna like it here." Evie told her as she opened the door allowing Mal to go out first as she followed her out.
"Uh, I'd beg to differ." Mal said. "I'd rather go back to my old school."
"Then why don't you?" Evie asked her.
"I just can't. And don't expect me to tell you why. I don't have to tell you everything about my life."
"I'm not asking you to." Evie simply said. "I get it though. I didn't want to come here at first, either. I didn't know if I was gonna fit in, or if I was even gonna like it. But then I made some really great friends. And when the opportunity to leave came, I realized I couldn't leave. Because I loved it here. And maybe you'll feel the same way after a couple weeks."
Mal listened to Evie as she spoke. Maybe she was right. Maybe she would come to like it and want to stay. But she quickly pushed the thought out of her mind. First, she had to find that businessperson, but before that, she had, to get through her first day of school.
She continued to follow Evie around as she gave her the tour, and telling her where everything was. Until they ended up at their Math class. Evie sat down behind her desk and gestured for Mal to sit down in the desk next to hers. Mal rolled her eyes as she set her bag next to the chair before sitting down.
'Mal, relax, she just wants to be your friend.' She thought to herself. 'Well, maybe, I don't want to be friends. Maybe I just want to be alone.'
She immediately stopped thinking when she felt Evie tap her shoulder, and she saw her point towards the teacher who was looking at her, along with everyone else in the room. "Yes?" She asked.
"I asked if you would introduce yourself to the class." She said.
"Right." Mal replied standing up. "I'm Mal Morgana, I don't want to be here, and that's all you need you to know."
"Well then, let's get started." Her teacher said. "And Mal, since you weren't here when we first learned, Evie will help you."
Mal just gave her a fake smile as she turned to Evie who was actually giving her a real smile. She began whispering what they would be doing while showing her some of her papers and stuff. And when Mal had gotten most of it she just told Evie to stop, which she immediately listened, as both of them turned their attention back to the teacher.

After a long first day, Mal was already done with Auradon Prep. Everyone was so happy and wanted to talk to her but of course, she ignored them all. She just wanted to go back to the dorm and soak in all the quietness, and do all her dreaded homework, she slammed her locker shut before turning around real quick causing her to bump into someone who was passing by her.
"I'm so sorry!" The person quickly apologized. Mal was about to start yelling at the person, but stopped herself when she saw who it was. "Oh hey! It's Mal, right? The new girl?" Mal nodded. "So, how did you first day go?"
"Hey! Carlos? Uh, it was just boring, pretty much." Mal replied making Carlos laugh a little.
"I remember my first day. It wasn't that interesting either." He said making them both laugh.
"So I heard that you're sharing a dorm with Evie. How's that?" He asked.
"I guess it's cool. She's a little excited about everything." Mal told him.
"Yeah, Evie can be like that sometimes." He said. "But she's really great once you get to know her. she's one of the kindest, most caring person I know."
"Do you like her?" Mal asked with a smirk on her face.
"What?! No!" He yelled. "She's like a sister to me. And she's got a boyfriend."
"Why isn't that a surprise?" Mal asked. "Let me guess, the guy's a jock."
"Wow, you're good. He's a star tourney player. But anyway, I need to go, homework to do." Carlos said.
"Yeah, same here. Unfortunately." Mal said as they left in opposite directions.
When Mal made it to the dorm and was about to open the door, Evie opened it before her, obviously about to leave. "Hey Mal! I'm just going out for cheerleading practice." She told her.
And Mal noticed that she was wearing a cheerleading uniform. "Oh, so you're a cheerleader. Once again, I'm not surprised." Mal said stepping out of the way to allow Evie to leave.
Mal immediately got started on her homework, which took her like, forever! She was stuck on some of the work in her chemistry homework. "Ugh! None of this makes sense!" She yelled in her frustration. And she was soon scared to death by a knocking on her window. And when she saw Donovan's face she screamed throwing her chemistry homework up in the air.
But she quickly went to open the window. "I see you're not doing what you were told." Donovan said.
"Yeah? Well, in case you've forgotten I'm also a student, which means I have homework. I don't have a lot of time to just waste on looking for some businessperson." Mal replied as Donovan grabbed her by her shirt and pulled her closer to him through the window.
"Listen to me, in case you have forgotten. You were only given one week to do so. And I don't think you want to waste that time doing homework." Donovan told her through his teeth.
But that was when they heard the door open and in walked, Evie, who froze at the sight of Mal talking to someone outside the window.
"Am I interrupting something?" She asked a little confused.
"No! No! Not at all. This..this is nothing." Mal said gesturing to herself and Donovan.
"Well then who is that?" Evie asked.
"This is..this is..my....father! Yeah! It's my dad!" Mal said quickly hugging Donovan's head, both of them wearing fake smiles.
Evie nodded still with a confused look on her face. "Ok? So why do you need to talk to your father outside of the window?"
"Because, um, Fairy Godmother doesn't like me." Donovan told her.
"Why?"
"I don't think that's any of your business." Donovan replied.
"You know? Now I see where Mal gets her personality from." Evie said. "Now I need to take a shower, so I'll leave you two alone."
"Your father? Really?!" Donovan asked once Evie had gone into the bathroom.
"Well, what was I supposed to say? You're my crazy uncle or who you actually are!?" Mal yelled.
"Good point. But still, you better start looking, because time waits for no one. And your week won't last forever." Donovan said before leaving.
Mal sighed closing the window. She knew he was right. She had to start her search. And soon. Otherwise Donovan would make her pay. So she would start tomorrow.
