Mal woke up to hear birds chirping outside her window, and Evie singing in the shower. She snorted at that, she knew how Evie was. And to think, that Donovan wanted to hurt her, she couldn't let it happen. And she wasn't going to either.
She sat up, and got out of bed. She wasn't sure what to do now that she was no longer going along with Donovan's plan. She just gathered her clothes and quickly got changed. She just sat down on her bed, looking through Auragram, as she waited for Evie.
And when heard the bathroom door open, she saw Evie brushing her wet hair as she dried it with her blow dryer.
"Oh hey! Good morning, Mal!" Evie greeted her. Mal sent her a small smile as she looked up from her phone. "So what do you wanna do today?"
Mal thought for a moment. What did she want to do? "Maybe we could just chill here." She said.
"I like that." Evie said turning off her hair dryer. "We can play some games. Like, Clue, the Game of Life, or Monopoly."
"Of course you're the kind of girl who loves to play board games." Mal joked.
Evie just gave her a playful glare as she stuck her tongue out at her. "Well, I can't help it. They're fun. So are you in, or not?"
"Fine. I'll do it!" Mal replied as she decided that it couldn't be so bad.
Evie squealed as she ran into her closet to get out her collection of board games. Yes, she had herself a whole collection. "So! What should we play first?" Evie asked a little excitedly.
"The Game of Life, I guess." Mal said.
So Evie cleared off her work desk and set the game up, and then turned on some music before they started playing. Evie was kind enough to let Mal go first. Throughout the whole game, Mal was determined to make it to the end of the game without having any kids, and Evie wanted to have as many kids as she possibly could. And Mal was constantly trying to find a way to cheat and get away with it. But Evie, it's like she had a sixth sense for cheaters, or something.
And by the end of the game, Mal had ended up getting eight kids, and she had to have two separate cars for all of the extra kids. And Evie had only gotten three, which was an okay amount. But she had wanted more. And once they had counted it all their money, Mal had won. Because of all her kids.
Then they went on to play Clue. Evie was kind of dancing along to the music in the background, as Mal went first. It didn't take them that long to narrow it down to who it was, as there was only two people playing. Evie ended up guessing Professor Plum (Mal's character) in the library with the revolver, but it had turned out to be Mrs. Peacock (Evie's character) in the ballroom with the dagger.
And she gasped when she saw who it was, then Mal guessed it right. "I would never have murdered, Mr. Boddy.!" She yelled.
"That's what they all say! And I'm offended that you thought it was me!" Mal yelled back.
Evie shrugged with a guilty smile across her face. "I'm just playing the game?" She replied as more of a question.
"Are you trying to tell me something?" Mal joked.
Evie laughed. "You will never know." Evie joked as well. "So should we play Monopoly, now?"
Mal nodded as she helped Evie put away all the pieces to Clue, and then helped her set up Monopoly. And it was Mal's turn to go first again. Evie ended up buying all of the good spaces. All of the rail roads, boardwalk. And to make things worse, she had put hotels on her spaces so Mal had to pay her a bunch of money every time she landed on one of them. Mal huffed as she once again landed on one of Evie's hotels. Again!
And once Mal had gone bankrupt, which hadn't taken her very long, the game ended. And Evie won. And she started jumping up and down in celebration. Mal was upset, so she stood up and turned over Evie's table and stomped over to her bed.
"Ugh! I hate losing!" She screamed in frustration.
Evie was just staring at her wide eyed. "Whoa! Someone's A sore loser." Evie mumbled as she bent down to pick up her table and the monopoly pieces.
"I heard that!" Mal growled as Evie saw her eyes start glowing.
"Calm down, Mal. It's just a game!" Evie told her.
Mal snapped herself out of it as her eyes stopped glowing. "Sorry, about that. I just..hate losing." She said.
Evie giggled as she put all the games back in the closet. "It's ok, Mal. I'm competitive too." She admitted. Mal gave her another smile. And Evie turned up the music as she heard "Story of My Life" come on. "Get up and dance, Mal!"
Mal rolled her eyes, but she still got up anyway and started dancing along with Evie. And they started laughing together. "Evie?" Mal asked once the song ended.
"Yeah?"
"I just want you to know. You are my best friend. You were the only person who ever wanted to be my friend." Mal said. "Everybody always stayed away from me. But you wanted to do the opposite. And that means a lot. I'm sorry for how I acted when we first met."
Evie smiled sympathetically as she went over to Mal and hugged her. "Don't apologize, Mal. I forgave you a long time ago. You are forever and always my best friend. And don't you ever forget that."
"I don't think I ever could." Mal replied as she hugged Evie closer to her.

Donovan was with his men and he slammed his fists down on the table in front of him. "Where is she?! I gave her one week! And she still doesn't have what I want!" He yelled in his anger.
"Well, what do we do then?" One of his men asked.
Donovan looked up as he glared daggers at the wall. "We go to that school, find the businessperson ourselves, and deal with Mal." Donovan told them. "Now, let's go!" His men nodded as they followed Donovan out of the old, abandoned warehouse. And they headed to Auradon Prep. Where things were about to get ugly.
