Mal and Evie were walking down the hallways together after another school day, to go back to their dorm. Mal was thinking about how she only had two days left to find the businessperson for Donovan. But she still had no clue it was, and she was getting nowhere by looking for them.

She was getting quite frustrated about it all. But she was soon snapped from her thoughts when Evie said her name. "Hey Mal, I left my phone in my workroom, would you mind getting it for me? Here's the key." She said leaving Mal a little confused.

"You have a workroom?" Mal asked.

"Yeah, I do." Evie replied. "It used to be an old storage space, but Fairy Godmother let me use it. It's on the second floor and it has a sign on it that says Evie's 4 Hearts on it, you can't miss it. And my phone will be on the desk."

Mal nodded going to find Evie's workroom, apparently. She got to the second floor and walked down the hall until she spotted Evie's sign on the door. Mal took the key and unlocked the door and walked inside. She was surprised to see clothes everywhere, some on clothing racks, some on mannequins, and some in other places around the room.

She spotted Evie's desk under piles of different files and all sorts of papers. She was guessing that Evie's phone was somewhere under the mess. So she started moving around some of the papers trying to find the phone. And when she found it, she accidentally knocked over one of the files onto the floor, spilling a bunch of papers that were inside, onto the floor. She placed the phone back on the desk and bent down to pick up the mess. She picked up some papers that were stapled together, and she started looking through them. Her eyes were narrowed as she read them, and she saw that they were a bunch of financial papers, and she saw that Evie was apparently making money. And lots of it.

And that's when it hit Mal. Evie was the businessperson Donovan wanted. She shook her head as her heart started pounding. No. Evie couldn't be the one, she just couldn't be. Mal knew that this meant that she had to bring Evie to Donovan. But Evie was her friend, she just couldn't betray her like that. But if she didn't, Donovan was going to make her pay, like he had said. But now that she knew it was Evie, she could no longer go through with the plan. She would go through whatever Donovan did to her, as long as it meant that Evie was safe.

She quickly put the papers back into the file and onto the desk, before grabbing Evie's phone and leaving the room and locking the door behind her. And she then headed back to hers and Evie's dorm, where Evie was already doing her homework.

Evie looked up at her and smiled when she saw that Mal had gotten her phone. Mal knew that she was making the right decision, she could never let Donovan hurt Evie. "Thanks, Mal!" She said as Mal handed her the phone.

"Yeah. Evie?" Mal once again got Evie's attention. "Is Evie's 4 Hearts, your business?"

"Yes, it is." Evie replied nodding her head. "I design outfits, and make orders for people. It's a good way to help my mom be able to pay for me to go here. I make about, maybe a few thousand a month."

"A month?" Mal asked in shock.

"Yep." Mal closed her eyes as she took in a couple deep breaths. She then went over to her bed and must laid down. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Mal answered. "I just got a little lightheaded."

Evie nodded getting back to doing her homework, completely clueless about Mal and Donovan's plan, she still didn't even know who Donovan really was. She still thought he was Mal's father. Heck, she didn't even know Donovan was his name! And Mal knew it was better that way. Evie could never know the truth, especially since she was no longer going with the plan, and Donovan would soon find out.

She brought a hand to her forehead as all of those thoughts just danced around in her head. She didn't know how long it would take for Donovan to realize she was done with his plan. Maybe she would get lucky and he would completely forget that he wanted all that money....Nope! That was never going to happen. Well, Mal knew one thing, she would protect Evie from him. No matter what. She wouldn't let Donovan hurt her, or even get anywhere near her. Evie would stay safe. She would make sure of that.

A/N: Well, Mal has officially figured out Evie is the businessperson. Please let me know what you thought of this. Until the next chapter!!!
