Lia had no idea how long it had been since talking to Derek but she knew for sure that she'd flown up and down the stairs and caught numerous elevators before Bailey went to get her, she was talking to Mr. Gaunt, a soft smile on her face as he yapped about lord knows what while she was taking note of his vitals. A surprised look etched on Bailey's face, surprised that her intern was still doing what she'd told her, even though the surgery had ended a couple of hours prior, she knew that a nurse had informed Lia, but still she'd gotten no pages.

It looked like she'd been a Doctor her whole life and had mastered the art of soothing her patients.

However Bailey's surprise wouldn't end there as the look on Lia's face flashed away, her light brown eyes growing wide as saucers, due to what the attending had no idea about, she could only guess as she watched Lia drop the chart on the side table and rush to the head of the patient, the intern pressed the blue emergency button just seconds before the coding beeping screeched from the monitors.

It didn't take long before nurses rushed it, relying on Lia's orders to stabilize the patient, from where she stood she saw the patient siezing and Lia order the nurses the correct dosages and needles to get Mr. Gaunt under control, vocalizing louder than her orders "PAGE SHEPHERD AND BAILEY STAT!" 

Being there Bailey wanted to take the matter into her own hands, but before she could even open her mouth, after having finally processed what was going on, the nurses backed away from Mr. Gaunt and Lia, allowing Bailey to see the man laying still, his chest rising and falling as well as his monitor going back up until it stabilized.

"Nice job intern, quick on your feet." a nurse praised Lia, causing a bashful smile to grow on her face, "Inform Drs. Sheperd and Bailey of what happened." she ordered calmly, this was Bailey's only chance to make her presence known, her strong and bossy voice cutting the chatter in the room as she greeted "There will be no reason to page me,I will inform Dr. Shepherd myself."

Everyone including Lia turned to her in shock, the intern paling quite considerably given the circumstances, if Bailey was there it meant that she had seen everything go down and seen if she'd done anything wrong. "Dr. Bailey." Lia spoke first, stepping away from the patient and placing her hands behind her back.

"These lovely nurses are quite correct, you were quick on your feet, you knew something was wrong before even I could tell. You can stop answering my pages and go eat." Bailey told her making her nod slightly, truth be told Lia wasn't that hungry, but she reckoned it was because of her binge eating from time to time and then not eating anything, a stress habit she had but needed to lose.

"I'll be paging you once my meeting with Dr. Shepherd is over, we'll discuss what we will do with Mr. Gaunt. And I want you fed and ready for whatever we plan." her words made Lia nod slowly, slightly scared of whatever they had planned, which most likely would be surgery. Her feet carried her out of the room and down the hall to the bathroom, where she could wash her hands. 

Was she ready to be inside an O.R. a big part of her screamed yes but the other part was doubtful, the part that always made her second guess everything in her life.
