Mina opened her eyes to see the bright sunlight flooding her room. She got up to see her father sleeping in a chair by her bed. As she moved, he awoke and helped by putting a pillow behind her back."Good Morning, how are you feeling?" he spoke with a hoarse voice, genuine concern in his eyes. When had this change of behavior occurred?
"Yeah, I'm fine, thank you,"
"Eh," He waved a hand, "There are no 'Thank yous' with family."
Mina grew even more confused, what happened to the fierce man who expected order and strength in everyone around him.
He coughed, "I'm going to take your leave. I have some work, but the helpers are here for you, and I'll let Bang Chan know you're awake."
He got up and left. By the door stood a helper, who gave him his medication. He seems to have grown very different over the past couple of years, more--sensitive.
After he left, Mina pulled out her phone and saw texts from Chaeyoung. They reminded her of the events of yesterday. Her head began to ache.
She opened up the text,
"Good Morning Minari; You're coming back home tonight, right?"
"Actually, I'm coming home a couple of days later. Work here is taking longer than expected."
":(( Okay, well, let me know when you're coming back. I'll personally come to pick you up."
"Of course, babe."
Mina threw her phone to the side and got up. Slightly dizzy, she swayed on her feet when two arms grabbed her. She held her head and looked back to see Bang Chan. Concern on his face."Are you okay? You suddenly fainted yesterday. You didn't hear the earful I got from your father because of it."
Mina chuckled, "Yeah, I'm sorry. I have a headache."
"He seems quite changed." Mina looked at the door her father walked through.
"He has. After you left, he changed everything around here." Bang motioned the helper by the door for some medication and filled a cup of water.
"Once he realized what his work had done to him. He became careful about how he acted in the Mafia. He didn't want to bring you disappointment.
And then he got diagnosed, and he just seemed to have lost all hope. That's why he called you here. He has," Bang stopped what he was doing for a minute, "Maybe later, it's not important," "You should rest. We can go to the office tomorrow,"
"No, I'm fine, we should go now." Mina planned on taking Chaeyoung's file so she could investigate this on her own. Bang stopped her.
"Are you looking for this file?" He sat on the bed, the file in hand
Mina turned around in surprise. Clearing her throat. She spoke,
"Yes."
"Why is this file important for you?"
"It's not,"
"Mina, come on." He sat on his elbows, "I've known you since we were little kids. I know when something is affecting you."
Groaning, Mina sat beside him. "Please don't tell father,"
He nodded, crossing his heart.
"I know the girl in the picture. I know Katarina Son, and I don't want her to die."
"What's it to you?"
Mina huffed an internal battle within her. 'Should she tell Bang about Chaeyoung?'
"She's my- She- mmm,"
"Spit it out, Mina."
"She's my girlfriend."
There stayed an awkward silence in the room. A silence that had begun eating away at Mina. Bang didn't know that she was gay, let alone dating a girl who was to be 'terminated.' She didn't dare look back in fear to meet his eye.
"Well, you really know how to pick 'em."
Mina looked back to see Bang laughing; he clenched his stomach, to which Mina hit his arm. She smiled. It was almost as though -a weight- had been lifted from her chest.
"So you'll help me?"
Bang's face went serious.
"As long as your father doesn't kill me in the end, I'll help you."
-A few days later-
Chaeyoung stood outside the airport doors, waiting for the arrival of her girlfriend. She rolled the word against her tongue a couple more times. Girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend, she smiled. It brought her great joy to be with Mina. As she checked her phone for the time, she heard the tap of heels that she could identify no matter where they were. Her head shot up, and she saw Mina standing, her arms leaning on the windows.
"Hey babe," her voice was husky, and it made Chaeyoung nervous.
"H-h-hi," 'Why did I stutter,'
Mina smirked, obviously knowing the effect she had.
Chaeyoung got out of the green Jeep and put Mina's bag in. She quickly hugged her then got in the car.
Mina sat in the car. A small smirk on her face. She slid her hand across Chaeyoung's thigh and gave a squeeze. Chaeyoung yelped, which she quickly hid. It did nothing more than give Mina ammunition. Her smile grew wider.

Mina thrust Chaeyoung onto the door, closing it with a pop. She pulled Chaeyoung's arms up as she continued to deepen their kiss. Mina swiped her tongue on her lip, eliciting a moan from her. Mina used this entrance, and she kisses her harder; she pulled away, and Chaeyoung groaned at the loss of contact.
"Wait, wait, wait," she looked deep into her eyes, "Are you sure?"
Chaeyoung nodded, "Yes,"
"No Chaeyoung really,"
"Yes, Mina!"
Chaeyoung jumped onto Mina, who carried her to the bedroom.
(You can just imagine the rest hehe 😬)
*Mina tops*As they went on moans were heard around the house.

Mina awoke first, smiling at the events that transpired a couple of hours ago. She looked to her side to see Chaeyoung sleeping, facing away from her. She pulled herself closer to Chaeyoung. Wrapping an arm around her waist. She gave her a small kiss on her shoulders to which Chaeyoung stirred awake. She smiled as she saw Mina. And she cuddled a little closer. Taking in a deep breath.
"Hey"
"Hey"
"Come on,"
Chaeyoung looked back confused,
"What?"
"I have a surprise. I hope you like it."
